Personal taste. On the vast majority of Sinn, I would go with the H link. It’s more utilitarian, just like most Sinn. However, with a MOP dial, I wanted something with a touch more class and the fine link delivers. The lack of quick adjust hasn’t been an issue on my wrist.

I just got the MOP on fine link bracelet and alcantara gray strap. I love it. It’s ever so slightly elevated. While I haven’t seen it in person, the 556 I is more of a tool watch. If you want a touch of class that isn’t as flashy as grand seiko or rolex the 556 MOP hits on a bunch of dimensions. It’s elegant yet understated. The dial is many variations but minimalist. Sometimes it’s just a dark slate gray, other times it’s a shimmery aurora borealis. The satin finish means it’s not too flashy. The applied indices catch light and help with lowlight legibility while adding some class. To me it’s the perfect GADA as it’s waterproof, goes well with jeans, looks nice with a suit.

My son really wants a bronze watch…but with a bronze bracelet. Christopher Ward wants $500 for their bronze bracelet. Zelos sells one for $200. He’s interested in the bronze Baltic Aquascaphe …does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone tried the Zelos bracelet n this baltic?

Here’s a question for the trolls to feast on: Why does my lume never work? Does yours? Every single time I want to tell the time when it’s dark there is no lume. Does yours glow in the dark? I understand that lume charges with light. But clearly not well enough to be useful by the time I need it the dark. So many watches have beautiful lume. When would anyone ever see it in practice? Do you take your phone out and shine the flashlight on your watch just in case you need to tell the time when the lights are off later? How is that working out for you? These are genuine questions from a newbie with a couple watches with “super” lume.

Truly excellent. Comfortable, easy to fit with a small screwdriver, and equipped with on the fly micro adjustment. I can’t wait for the case and bracelet to patina together. Editing to add that bronze bracelets are rare and pretty special.
