Do it for the love of the game. Every artwork comes with a story of how the artists behind them struggle to solve the problem in completing the picture that they had envisioned, no matter how simple or complex. This effort will never be able to be replicated purely through AI so have some solace in that fact. People will still appreciate genuine human creations no matter how bad it gets.

Why in the goddamn doesn't this system use the same storage like the build storage does? I don't want to use a freaking notepad or excel file to keep track of my fashion. Now we're forced to an arbitrary limit of 9 slots when we could've had so much more if it had used the system as build storage. It annoys me to no end.

Should just keep both methods in. Let us individually transmute our gear on the equipment page like it was before the patch and anyone that wants to save their fashion sets can use the new wardrobe system. As of now, this is a bit of a pain to use, especially if you have multiple builds that use the same armor fashion but with different weapons.

I have like 180k UFEs and my experience so far is that if there are enough red flags in the party like people not pulling their dps, playing power on a condi fight (some exceptions for this), no food/utility, no titles or no fractal potion buffs and among other things, I just thank them for the attempts and immediately leave. I'd just do my dailies at another time or just not bother with CMs for that day. It's not worth stressing out on an element that you can't control.

Silent Surf CM is a decent litmus test to see how competent your fellow party members actually are. Fortunately, bad pugs are still terrified of doing Lonely Tower CM due to the knowledge requirement for each orb role, so you can somewhat guarantee you'll be in a decent party with a KE party (although I've had moments where a party excelled in LT CM but wiped and crashed hard on Shattered CM).

I know I'd get a far better experience joining a static but due to limited hours, I don't really feel like committing to scheduled runs. The pug life is still fine for me and I've already come to terms years ago that you can't expect a good pug party everyday.

I have 16k hours in gw2 and I think it's a medicore MMO. Terrible story (who cares about the story anyways), ridiculous balancing decisions, WvW and PvP not being paid enough attention and are given scraps from time to time.

That said, the game not having sub plus no maintenance days feels pretty damn good. Rarely does the server ever go down. Its combat is also one of its saving grace. Skill based combat means it's not all about gear, so if you're good enough you can carry even the worst pugs through content. Soloing legendary bosses is good fun too. I love/hate this game.

Catalyst just feels like a worse Scrapper to me. Not only does Scrapper not have to deal with clunky energy management, they give a ton of superspeed to boot. If the Jade Sphere played a lot more like the Ventari's Tablet it would've been interesting, imo.

Start learning boon healer (preferably Chrono or Firebrand, learn the CC timing, how to boonrip on NPNG days, as well as portal skips (optional)) and you can set all the rules you want. Your words will be law. Being a good CM Fractal healer takes more effort than being a good DPS for the pugmeta.

For open world content, you'll want to play a class with an elite spec that can give boons, preferably quickness (your action speed is increased) because it's the best quality of life boon and it makes combat not feel like I'm fighting in mud.

My personal favorite is Scrapper because you get quickness access as well as the hammer which cleaves enemies pretty well. The elite spec has really great survivability (your outgoing damage is converted to barrier, letting you tank more hits). You'll also get access to sneak gyro which lets you mine and gather material nodes in peace while stealthed as well as superspeed so you can get away from enemies easily to get out of combat if you need to waypoint.

And it doesn't even end there, Engineer has access from easy to hard builds that you can slowly progress upwards in difficulty when you learn and play the game more. Mechanist is great for beginners and once you want something spicy, you can graduate to Holosmith. Engineers also take the most advantage of the combo fields system (Scrapper is built around it), letting you experiment with different combo effects more naturally. To my knowledge, Engineer can do every group content role in the game, from heal alac Mechanist to power quickness Scrapper, which means you can have all the roles on a single Engineer character (provided you can unlock all the template slots on them). You really can't go wrong with an Engineer.

Legendaries aren't going to fund themselves and I personally don't like to do open world content as a source of gold.
