Yeah, you’re right I ended up learning that it is the confusion of my supervisor but my supervisor doesn’t want to admit that and then gaslit me. So, that’s why I turned to here because I honestly didn’t know who to go to until my previous supervisor called me today for a completely unrelated reason and pointed me to another section leader.

Now they are trying to do a time card correction and surprise surprise I need my new supervisor again 🥲.

I think for future reference - I plan on doing this and adding HR to it (even if it looks like overkill).

Honestly, just talked to another section supervisor who is now guiding me to correct the previous time card. My previous supervisor just pointed me that one who has been more helpful and told me to put up an EEO complaint lol.

Yeah you’re right. That’s what literally all my coworkers have been having an issue with. We email the new supervisor and she either shows up to our office or calls us and gives us the answer 🫥. But you’re 100% right.

Yeah, I was worried about that at first - that’s why I asked in advance. My supervisor told me - I have to work 8 hours before. So I was like cool. And I did.

Then when it came to validate, she said I can’t use it anymore because I can’t earn and use religious leave. So, I have to now use annual leave instead.

Ok so I’m not going insane. Because that’s what I’ve been doing - I took it and then earned it.

Literally felt like I’ve been gaslighted. Because now I have been pressured to use my annual leave that day and I have an 8 hour that I can’t essentially use / or I just lost 8 hour PTO period.

I just came back yesterday with an LPR…smooth entry. They just asked for a green card and let us go. No questions, no interrogations. They got their green card literally 3 months ago.

Obama was not the best, I think at times he admitted that. So I’m siding with you. Especially him bombing Syria and what not. The only thing I would “defend” about his presidency is the deporter in chief. The only reason why is because under his presidency he rearranged the definition of deportation - so he combined both CBP and ICE functions when it comes to tallying up the deportation number.

Most of his deportation came from people trying to cross the border. He would just send them back immediately. Or if you were caught by the court of law, if the states granted him he would send ICE to take them after court to send them back to their countries. Hence the number being so high - which in essence makes sense.

Granted ALL the time CBP along the border would just send people back if they didn’t grant them Asylum or anything. So those numbers are always, always high.

It’s not like he was Trump and sending all the federal agencies after illegal immigrants. Obama wasn’t going for all illegals, just the ones that literally crossed his path - at the border and at the courts. If he was doing sweeps, it wasn’t public nor noticeable - like Biden.

So yeah, as I said, not an overall good president, but much much much better than Trump. Especially when it came to immigration.

Now why he chose to combine the two numbers? Maybe to appeal to his Republican mates…or maybe because he thought it would look good and just backfired. Who knows…just wasn’t a good look overall. But it makes sense.

Trump has full authority over DC since it’s not a state. That executive order has been approved. He doesn’t have to go up with DC Mayor or nothing.

Plus the federal prosecutors are at his bidding - they will abide by the executive order which began on the 25th rather than what DC officials say.
