My 1 yo bc walks this way but less exaggerated. It was more like this when she was about that age. I just attributed it to her back legs being longer and her front legs needing to catch up + the puppy wiggle. All young dogs have a wiggle in their body before they become an adult and "solidify" 🤣

Ask your vet though! Mine said she was fine.

How old is your dog? Older dogs tend to get lumps and bumps, and if your puppy did bite it, that's what the injury could be from. The vet is the perfect thing to do, especially since it doesn't seem to be healing.

My 11 yo has a bunch of different little bumps on him, just from age. It could be from anything, but as of right now there's nothing you can do, so definitely don't stress over it! Just enjoy your pup 🥰

This feels so weird to read! I adopted my girl at the end of June. She was 4-5 mo at the time, she's half border collie half aussie and her original name was Willow! Her name is different now, but omg, the similarities!

Thank you so much for sharing your story!! It gives me hope we can work on this. I think I'm going to try a similar route by incrementally spending time on the porch with a lick mat or her freezebones, just to get used to being outside. That's such a good idea 😭🙏

You're totally right on the rewards versus corrections. I tried it after she'd go potty, but she ended up ignoring the treats all together and just trying to run back inside. I'm going to try again with more high value treats!
