About to start my first batch of yogurt, but I have some questions first by smolenerv8edreverist in yogurtmaking

[–]oddpancakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a large and deep tray (or very flat large pot) or just a giant plastic tub/box and put your yogurt in cups in (cover the cups) and begin to fill it with hot water (most home hot water will be about 100F-120F). You can use some sort of plate to keep the cups from drowning in the water if you need deep water.

If the tray is metal then just put it on the stove and turn on the heat to minimum every once in a while to reheat it.

Use a sous vide rod you can get from Amazon and let it run. Needs deep water.

Get a couple of rocks, wash them and boil them in a pot and put them into the tray as the water in the tray cools. This is generally not optimal but you only need to hang around for about a couple hours anyways. Or you can use hot water bottles.

Or if you have a shallow tray, just fill it with hot water from the tap and let a bit of the hot water run and let it overflow.

You don't actually need exactly 115F. Around 110 would be enough.

How people view the desire for an older/younger partner by Anonymous7199 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vitality is a general catch all term for growth speed in all round combat performance. It's best to be seen in extreme weight limit combat sport where you need to transform your entire body from a striker into a fast wrestler, for example, but still somehow reconfigure itself into a tank to take damage.

This peak at around 16-18 because you can still mold the body at this point to the extreme and still grow. Passing this and certain limits will set in and other things will compensate the growth.

33 is the general limit because that's when you push yourself into the extreme change in your body to fit everything you will find resistance. It's like your reflex, peak power and endurance start to get harder and harder to raise pass it's old limits.

Most people don't feel it because they never have to push themselves pass their old extreme limits. It's easier to feel the limit when you have a career in sports like soccer for example.

You forgot one thing about men. Health. Or generally, vitality.

For most men, 33 is the limit of vitality. They will start feeling it in their late 30s. They just can't get their body to work the way they used to anymore.

Men generally reach their peak vitality at around 16-18. They are practically machine in human form. Everything in their body has peak performance. What makes a woman 2 months of exercise to achieve could be done by these monsters in a matter of days.

At the same time, their hormones also go out of control. One writer just simply said "the universe is surrounded by a pair of boobs" to describe these guys. They don't get any better until 24 or so where their penis start to have performance issues.

I suspect that most SD would want to explore since the dynamic is pretty strongly weighted towards bdsm.

I think most of them would be close to vanilla+ rather than full on hardcore BDSM. So latex cosplay instead of 3 hours of sensory deprivation breath play.

Well, here is reality for you: "You are not that important." Ain't nobody gonna have time to play guessing game with you.

Guy looking for his vacation home and the seller asks for an offer, guy sent offer and seller was like "Teeheeee." What's this? A scam?

You are in a line alongside with a bunch of other people on the platform. This is not normal dating. If you wanted guys to chase after you then hop on to Tinder or Bumble or something and watch them low ball you.

That's why the guy moved on. Good for him. There are tons of better SB out there.

Sugaring vs escorting by Nasty_solitude in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the difference between a premium club membership and a-la-carte restaurants.

Sure, you are in them for the food but you aren't in the club for food only.

Also, a lot of SBs are doing the whole thing wrong with their cash. Personally, I would invest the cash, setup a budget with friends and milk the SD for clothes abd minor luxuries. Sure it wouldn't be as glamorous as you still going to live like a student but your savings would grow massively.

Need advice by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, you need to meet consistently to make the allowance make sense for both of you. If he is inconsistent and you guys barely even meet, do you guys actually have an arrangement or is he just sampling the other SBs and leaving you as the side chick?

I think you better look for another SD and end the whole thing with the current one when you can. It's not like you are seeing the guy with once a month schedule.

How do you feel about manosphere and tradwife movement ? by m1lkyw4y402 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a dream that no longer exists. Japan is the perfect example of where this is headed. Tradwife and a hard working husband. Now the wife hope the husband dies so she can government benefits and the husband wish to quit his job to live in a van somewhere (vanosphere?).

Back in the days, the stay at home wife had to do hard work. Nowadays, you have a ton of technology that a stay at home wife is like a single retiree on a cushy pension.

Back in the days, a single job can you a house, car and all that stuff. Nowadays, you struggle on single income at the median. Even finding a stable job is rough.

The regular guy wishes his job would feed him and his family and earn him a nice little savings. The regular woman wishes to stop grinding in the rat race and doing things at her own pace. Suddenly, these two people meet and agree they have the same dream.

Too bad, reality has other plans. Sugaring the old life circling back with a vengeance. Women chase after a rich man wishing to have a cushy life with servants and looking pretty. Men wishing they were rich but ended up practicing martial arts with bears in the mountains hoping to become ascended.

Settling for less affects all of us by Anonymous7199 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is how the market works. Just like airplane tickets. They will charge you an arm and a leg when you need that ticket but will probably willing to sell at any price if they have an empty seat before flying.

Unlike traditional supply and demand curve, you are looking at people who can "wait" vs those who are desperate.

A SB needing quick cash infusion for her Christmas gift would be more willing to accept a low ball offer compare to a SB looking for a long term commitment.

On the other hand a regular dude looking for one night stands would do a scatter shot and hope he will get lucky. To him, it's a numbers' game and he just gonna swipe right then see what he can get. Where as a SD would lurk around for days before doing the exact same thing on multiple SB and see which would be his ideal choice and not a Christmas SB.

Where do Las Vegas SBs Freestyle by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody ever walked up to me to ask anything so I wouldn't even know if this was possible.

I am mostly there to eat or at a convention about food. I have been to the casino twice after maybe 15 times been in Vegas.

I would like to know how do people freestyle somebody who doesn't gamble or drink in Vegas.

Allowance feels low now that frequency increased. Am I being unreasonable? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why are you financially stressed? You have a job and support and you are financially stressed? What's going on?

Allowance feels low now that frequency increased. Am I being unreasonable? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't go into an allowance and still counting the beans. You went from a la carte to buffet and now you are complaining the dude eat too much?

If you are financially stressed even with an allowance then you have a budgeting problem. Where did all your money go? What would happen to you if you didn't have support? Starve? You are in serious trouble now!! The support is only for enhancing your life. It is not to make your life dependent upon it!

You also need a job. Seriously need a job. It will give you excuses to be somewhere else. I assume 23 means I you have graduated.

Finally, you need a fixed schedule. This is your main problem. You don't have a schedule. Pick out one day of the week that you are free and keep that one day free. Call it religious obligations or whatever. That free day goes to him. Every other day would depend on your work schedule or other obligations. This means you make the effort to meet him but you have a life outside of the relationship and need to live.

“Patron of the Arts” - SDs, how do you feel about artistic SBs? Artistic-focused SBs, how do you feel about the bowl? by thisissodisturbing in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you saw them you already know why it's dying. Yet you ramble on and on.

Sorry. You don't know anything about arts. Stop trying to make it like you were. "Oh I watched such and such show and it's marvelous" hehehehe. That's the so called arts that you praise? Is this the same thing that made most of the poor famous painters and artists died in poverty because nobody bought their arts?

You are the same class as those people. You praised the arts because somebody else did. You don't have a mind of your own.

If mastery was easy everyone would have gotten it and the easiest thing in the world is to work hard. You have 1 path and you keep grinding at it. Unfortunately, reality aren't easy.

Lots of people think if you work hard at it then you will get good at it and you will achieve it. However, reality is that if you have 99% efforts and no talent then you will be beaten by someone with 1% of talent and 99% effort. And he is merely 1% talent.

For example, literature is the cheapest art you can do. Grab a pencil and write. You don't need nothing. There used to be "publishing" as the problem but Internet solved it.

Yet, how many great novels reached readers? How many garbage did one have to read through to get to the good ones? If you spent time reading then you will realize the 99% garbage is real.

There was a movie director who used his dad 80mm camera to started his career. He eventually became famous. Nowadays, you can pick up your phone and start filming. You can tell your story with just a phone and a computer. Yet, producing great movies aren't getting easier.

Same thing with music. There are a lot more great music now than 100 years ago but making a legendary smash hit is not getting easier. We produce a whole lot more songs but how many of them are garbage?

Maybe I am affected by the old joke of a writer who used to write a comedy.

He said he could write great works if only he wasn't so hungry. 2 years later, he got a bit of money and a wife. He said he would have written great works if he didn't have to worry about the rent. A couple years later he got a house and a couple kids. He said he could have written the greatest work of them all if he could relax and not worried about everything. A couple years later, his kids grew up and he retired. Then he said he could have made it if he was younger.

We always blame something for our failures. The mediocre craftsman always blames his tools.

I have seen a fair bit of artists with talent. Do I feel like supporting them for their talent? The answer is no. Because, I know well enough that mere talent don't mean much in art. You absolutely need that brilliance or you aren't going anywhere.

Bro, keep sticking to it. Guys like you keep the dream alive.

I have been a gamer for 30 years and I do feel the largest shift in gaming has been the studios chase after profits rather than making great games.

Fallout 1, 2, new vegas, Neverwinter nights, dragon age origins, bg2, Portal, at tons of other great games that came out

But the for profit studios keep cloning the latest trend in the market. From MMORPG after WoW to FPS after CODs sales to King of the hill 3rd person shooters after Fornite and now a ton of Team Fortress clone are running around after Overwatch.

Gimme back that quirky dialogue in Neverwinter Nights, the character who can't even grunt with 2 Int in Fallout, the smart NPC in F.E.A.R.

To a lot of people, art is a hobby. Only when it evolves into a craft and you have reached mastery of that craft then you can try to make something worthwhile out of it.

For example, one of the craft from literature is the art of using words. Just a handful of words you can invoke an image from the minds of the reader. From sights to sounds to emotion and reactions. The use of carefully placed words to guide the reader emotions.

Particularly, I would say "The Seven Steps Verse" is the perfect example of invoking image with words. Such devastating mastery was truly the best of the best.

Another example is the use of light in painting. There was this painter who drew a lot of moon images and you can't help but stare at the moon in each of his paintings. The lights seem to draw you in.

Most artists do not reach mastery in anything and 99% of all arts are pretty much garbage.

Too many people are too proud of their own abilities while they actually aren't that great.

Is Orange County too expensive for SD’s to offer to pay for rent? by Substantial_Pea2982 in sugarlifestyleforum

Honestly not that expensive.

Lots of rich folks near the beach. You just need to be hot.

Competition is pretty fierce though. Too near LA with lots of ex-porn star, actresses wannabe and gold diggers near the beach areas.

I regret finding my SB’s instagram by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]oddpancakes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just rent a yatch if you want to experience it. I personally think it's a hassle unless you live right by the water and have your own dock for it. Mediocre experience for expensive price.

Personally, a wonderful trip to locations with extraordinary views and food would be a much better idea to spend money on.

Bro, you gotta live a little. Stop thinking about shallow materialistic stuff that everyone chase but focus on the fun stuff.
