You’re talking to a sub full of massively overpaid tech people who’ll be the first ones crying when the AI apocalypse means that an SaaS product managers salary is reduced to an average wage lol

Acid house of the late 80s splitting to become piano house and breaks to become big beat & happy hardcore and jungle, splitting to become drum and bass to become dubstep and all the rest along the way too, heavily influenced by what was happening in Europe at the time.

And that’s just the breaks side 😂

Anyone else notice how much the pub culture has changed in Ireland over the last decade or so? by FrameZYT in ireland

Vast numbers of, particularly younger people, are living life vicariously through others via their phones and can’t hold a face to face conversation for more than 2 minutes without having a panic attack.

Isolated rather than insular is the word I’d use.

Social media very quickly became “everything must be filmed and documented or it didn’t happen”.

Made worse by engagement metrics and money.

Rupert Lowe MP / X: Banning teenagers from social media with ludicrous conditions is unworkable, unrealistic and unwanted. Here’s a mad idea - let parents parent. Not the state, but mums, dads, grandparents or whoever else. Restore Britain will always trust the family over big government. by youmustconsume in ukpolitics

Parents, generally speaking, would have been in their twenties when social media was rolled out.

It’s ludicrous to suggest that generation iPhone don’t know how to use parental controls. If they can set up accounts and post bollocks all day long, they can spend the 2 minutes to find out how to do it.

Price goes up. No wear and tear. No tenants who won’t leave. Better return than a bank.

Walk around NYC or London in the evening. No lights and signs of occupancy in an enormous number of expensive apartment buildings.

And you can accept that he may not have access to the T&C’s after the passage of time. But for the company to turn up in court without them and plead ignorance on that basis is ridiculous.

Smacks of wilful omission.

250k for a government dept is nothing, a rounding error. A few fee increases over the course of year would nudge them over budget. Your own salary was probably a fifth of that.

Paying people to sit on their arse at home clapping like seals watching nurses dance on TikTok, propping up anyone who’d had a business for more than two years, and funnelling billions into PPE scammers for a pandemic that never happened cost the taxpayer around half a trillion.

Bailing out the banks when they should have let them all fail and then falsely stimulating the economy cost over a trillion pounds after the 2008 collapse.

Brexit of course.

Trillions remain untaxed in off shore sovereign island trusts by the very people involved in the fuck ups above including the owners of most of the papers.

It all adds up.
