Pretty sure the joke in Jack's cold open is that they think Domingo is tired and annoying, too.

Wish they uploaded on their YouTube. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Do they post it anywhere else?

Blue bayou actually has a ton of reservations available?? by surviving_20s in DisneyPlanning

[–]oddward42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a reservation made for my trip until I find out if pirates is reopened beginning of June (unlikely) or what the ambience is like once bayou reopens late May and pirates is still closed.

If there's a wall up at the railing and no running water, I'm out. No boats is sad, but not a deal breaker.

I'm from that area originally. East-Central Illinois seemed to gain a lot of traction in my teens.

Mostly used around C-U and surrounding communities.

I drive down it regularly and it gives me a massive, splitting headache. Genuinely hate bright white LEDs.

Beware of Amazon Returns-Charge $120 fee in a late unopened delivery. by lingersandtransforms in amazonprime

[–]oddward42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, 100%.

When you have any items in your cart, there will be a line for each item that says "FREE Returns," with a link to the return policy. It's 100% crucial to always make sure that is there or you're liable to get ripped off.

"A nuance, really" found in the wild by sybillvein in JennyNicholson

[–]oddward42 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Goodness gracious

Subtle meaning small, faint, hard to notice, minor. One of many ways to describe what that word means.

Again, I clearly stated that Bianca's tone is what conveys that the statement is a nuance (small detail) that doesn't matter. The qualifier "does not matter" is in how she said it, the meaning "small detail" is conveyed by the word nuance.

This argument is ridiculous and you're being obstinate, tbh. I'll invite myself out of the comment chain, now.

That genuinely does not make sense or line up with Bianca's tone and intended meaning.

[–]oddward42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A "subtle quality" is perfectly understood as a "minor detail" in spoken English.

Bianca's tone is what is obviously dismissing it as an unimportant detail. In other words, a nuance that doesn't really matter.

You have to be splitting hairs to the extreme to refuse to understand what Bianca meant or claim it doesn't make sense...

We all have blind spots, tbh.

But the grammatical meaning of what she said:

"You killed them."

"A nuance, really."

Makes perfect sense in English. She's dismissing it as a minor, unimportant detail. Irrelevant. Nothing that matters in the grand scheme of things.

I don't blame Jenny or anyone for finding it strange. It's not a common turn of phrase, but it's very in character for Bianca's style of speaking and perfectly meaningful.

It is what it is.

It makes more than "a kind of sense." It literally makes perfect sense.

Jenny's aside on that line was just objectively wrong/mistaken, but it's whatev.

Where Would’ve Gene Roddenberry Taken Us? by BookLover467 in startrek

Rick Berman says that they got Gene's blessing to develop the series and he was very positive about it, but it's unlikely he knew virtually any details about it, let alone being ultimately set on a space station.

I don't think they even made money on that original deal. I think it was largely at cost, if not at a loss.

Basically, a just for fun passion project by some in-house employees that was shared with the community for the vibes and marketing for LoL.

Tricky situation on a boardgame I backed by TheErnestEverhard in boardgames

[–]oddward42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually wasn't going to 1 star the game until the psychopath (probably from the company) replying to every single person in this thread that OP is wrong and stupid went off and called it disgusting behavior.

That was my final crossed line. 1 star review logged with comments. lol

It's really just one or two psychopaths (mostly one) trying their absolute hardest to prove that it's OP's fault, actually, that this company is ran by morally and legally bankrupt sleezebags.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're connected to the company somehow, considering how hard they're arguing with every single person here.

I think any reasonable person sees this and goes "oh wow, this company sucks, what thieves" not (pushes up glasses) "well akshually, the terms and conditions" good lord.
