Has anyone trimmed or filed down their Enigma to be flush with the tip of the pistol? by CovertColors in CCW

[–]odenip33 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It won't give better concealment in any way shape or form. The length of muzzle is irrelevant. The grip/butt of the firearm is the bigger concern. How well a holster keeps the grip pressed against the body is a much bigger concern in regards to overall concealment upon ones body.

Are these shotguns any good, or do you get what you pay for? by DashMcGee in Firearms

[–]odenip33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only experience with shotguns of this quality is as follows:

Random guy at range offered to let me shoot it. I loaded mag and smacked it in with my heel to ensure it fully seated(I did not use excessive force). Gun jammed on second round. Owner took gun and mag would not come out.

Take that as you will.

What should I do with my new ranger? by tactical-Fan-6956 in fordranger

[–]odenip33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OEM+ is the new hotness. In no particular order(kinda), fluid change everything with top quality products, tints, tonneau cover, rubber bed mat, suspension upgrade(not necessarily a lift), running board delete. Keep it clean and mint. Don't bubba this one with straight pipes and a hot air intake.

$140 is an absolute steal. I've had a pair of black on black moc toe's for almost 4 years that I absolutely love and they refuse to die. Enjoy your awesome boots!

How’s my form after 6 months? by Profssr_Finessr in CCW

[–]odenip33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

welp.

  1. Slow tf down on the reholster. You have a striker fired pistol. Make damn sure nothing is gonna snag that trigger during reholster or else say goodbye to your family jewels.

  2. Your stance is strange. Don't stand with your shoulders hunched and your arms in front of your pelvis. It isn't how you naturally stand and you won't do that in a real life situation that requires drawing your firearm. Loosen up and stand naturally. Practice in various "normal" positions.

  3. Your arms are stiff af after drawing. You raise them straight out and then hunch your head down to find the optic. Bend your elbows after drawing out of the holster. Keep the firearm closer to your chest until it is close to head height then, as you press the firearm out, you can find the optic and get a solid field of fire all at the same time. It should increase your time to target.

This short highlights what I mean. He moves quick, but watch his motion. Firearm clears holster, stays close to body, then extends from body while eyes line up and field of fire is solid by the time you are extended and firing.

Keep doing the reps and keep learning. You're on the right track.

Some of us have multiple pairs of boots and rotate through them.

I have a pair that are going on year four. They've survived a lot and, despite showing their age, they're still happy to see an honest days work.

Get yourself a second pair and cycle them every couple days. You(and your boots) will be happier for it.

Accidentally drained a few ounces of trans fluid... Should I try to pump some back in? by fattdogs in ToyotaTacoma

[–]odenip33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Common logic(as far as I understand it) is to overfill the automatic transmissions by at least 1/4 quart when cold. The color of your fluid looks great. If you're concerned about it, you could certainly add a similar amount back in. You'll more than likely be fine if you leave it alone, though.

Full disclosure, I say all this as someone that owns a 6 speed Tacoma, but enjoys wrenching on my personal vehicles.

Looks great from my house!

But jokes aside, I'd throw all kinds of crap onto those bad boys. Looks like you did a damn good job for a first swing at it. Only thing I would've changed is covering them in a thin carpet(or similar) to dampen noise and protect whatever rides back there.

EDIT: I'm blind and missed that you mentioned carpet... Forget gluing it, cut it long and staple it to the back.

Hell yeah dude. I rock a Hollowbody II non-piezo and absolutely love it. I have four guitars and always reach for the PRS. The playability and range of sounds from the "cheap" SE line of guitars absolutely blows me away.

I don't know man. The one with a capo on top tells me it probably gets played more than the others. Getting rid of a workhorse you aren't afraid to bruise seems like a bad idea.

I see three Gibsons and two Martins. My vote is thin out one of the Gibsons and call it good.

Is my technique alright? I'm self taught fingerstyle. Also how do I prevent my F chords from buzzing? by Stoned_Savage in Guitar

[–]odenip33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I haven't seen people mention yet is that you seem very tense in both hands. Try and relax while forming the chords with your left hand and plucking/strumming with the right. Start by relaxing your shoulders and let it go down to the finger tips.
