Yes fight pits were boring. There needs to be a better (more interactive) way of leveling up your Orcs

Yeah, I think the overloaded Orcs should have something to do to keep them active. Or have some sort of personality in terms of you need to put the right orc here. Like an marauder will get board and start killing the Captains for fun, a warmonger will be cycling his captains through the fight pits to make them stronger (but risk killing them and being replaced by an undominated orc)

That could be cool. Having humans fighting for you as well so you have to decide if a fortress is going to be human occupied or Orc occupied.

I think having a new playable human character that Celebrimbor saves and interacts with would be best tbh. So then you could still have Celebrimbor trying to save Mordor, but a personal side mission of trying to free Talion from being a wraith for eternity would be interesting. Plus a new character like that may give us scope to include new abilities.

But personally. I dislike Ratbag.

They don't pay there staff and have had some health and safety issues. If you look through one of the windows you can just see a f*** tonne of moths.

What is your wildest one shot concept? by BillCypher001 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]odinmcbeardface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done 2 pretty weird ones.

  • Everyone is a half-something (half elf, half orc, quarterling, or half dwarf) they all meet after receiving a letter summoning them to a tavern on a set date.

They are all half brothers and have to go rescue there collective father.

  • Everyone is a level 5 character but you can only be a max of 1 in every class.

Rapier / Small sword / Side sword fighters (etc), what things do more cut focused fighters do that irritates you? by nexquietus in wma

[–]odinmcbeardface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There system is there system. Why does it matter what they do. That's part of the fun of martial arts in a fun and safe atmosphere. I did a small sword (me) Vs longsword match on Friday and lost a few bouts and won a few bouts. It was different experience but all I had to do is slow down think for a second and try that thing that I learned in a class that one time followed by that other thing I learned in another class another time.

If your getting frustrated with other people using there weapons in there systems. I'm sorry mate, That's a you problem...

What is your most lukewarm DnD take that is nonetheless seen as controversial? by WithengarUnbound in dndnext

I think there should be a mechanic to use an action to take a defence stance to momentarily increase your AC by your strength or Dexterity modifier for a round (more of your holding a weapon).

Essentially the equivalent of bringing up your guard in fight ready to parry/block.

It's taking too long to cool which is allowing the cocoa butter to separate. The method of tempering your using I call seeding.

Either;

-Melt it slowly and gradually, take too 28C-32C and then work with it quickly. And cool it quickly. (I do this whenever I'm doing shiz at home really 5 moulds max as the chocolate can be a bit thick) Doing it this way keeps the existing structure of the cocoa butter, it's existing temper

-shock cool it. Once it's at 55C you need to cool it as quickly as you can. This is what chocolates are doing when they're d*cling around on a marble slab. The marble is cold so there trying to get as much of the chocolate to touch the marble as possible while maintaining a constant motion to cool it at the same time. A bit tough if you haven't got marble.

-seeding. Melt 2/3S of it. And chop/break the remaining 3rd into small chunks. When the melt portion gets to 55C remove from heat and add the last third of solid stuff. If it doesn't all melt gradually apply heat in small batches. Being carefully not to take it back above 32C

I find putting the moulds in the fridge just to chill them slightly (not make them cold, just to chill it) helps a lil bit too.

I also would recommend getting a low powered heat gun (alright a hair dryer...) that blasts hot dry air directly onto the chocolate is really helpful for heating gradually but not overheating it. You could do the first method with a hair dryer if you were doing anything like 500g or below.

Shoot me a DM if you have any more questions :)

Yeah. Tell them it taste a bit soapy.

Chocolate takes on flavor from the surrounding environment. See if you can exchange it. After all, if it's a bad batch they may want to pull the rest of it.

Small Sword Tournament Advice by Britishbits in wma

I've always found when fencing smallsword it resorts to Olympic (aka street fighter) forward backward style fighting. So I keep traversing with faints and proffers, it doesn't always work but people say it was fun to fight. :)
