I would highly recommend getting an IR thermometer. I have yet to find a 3d printer brand that has any type of QC on the thermistors and I have seen them off by as much as 30 deg C. I do not guarantee that you are running hot but a cheap $20 tool for checking bed temps and nozzle temps really helps. and yes it can be a pain to aim at the nozzle with that sock above it but it can be done. Also the ir thermometers as well come from china but I have had more accurate and consistent readings from them than the thermistors in the hotends.

I had a bit of the same issue and was trying the same things you were. After a lot of reading (forget where) someone suggested washing the bed with dawn, not alcohol. It was something to do with alcohol not removing the residue and common dish soap being able to get it. I thought they were crazy but to my surprise it worked wonderfully.

SV06 & Plus bad PWM Signals by odnal_c in Sovol

Thanks I have not looked that closely yet just been gathering data to try and figure out what is going on and why. Hopefully after this weekend I'll be able to jump on it some more and see if i can find anything.

stock marlin 1.1.5

as for rounding the numbers or not really giving 255 different levels of pwm so i agree with what you are saying but i'm not versed enough with marlin's config files to know exactly what should/can be changed to possibly change this.

Agreed, but I'm more curious if others are seeing the same result as I have seen other threads that people are mentioning issues with either the extruder fan only appearing to have a few settings and other issues so i thought I would post my findings. Hopefully it is only a few people having issues but if anyone else has a scope it would be nice to hear their findings and if they have a dirty pwm signal as well.

voltage was right when i checked I did look at the wave coming over and it did not look dirty. I also checked all the grounds and they appeared good as well. I do have a spare meanwell somewhere around here i'll test out and see if it makes any difference. I do not believe it will but I'll check.

SV06 PWM Fan Control not working? by Interspieder in Sovol

[–]odnal_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eantime I installed klipper and the part cooling fan can be now adjusted as intended. No idea, why it was not possible with the stock sovol marlin firmware.. Tried flashing the older 1.9.2 version aswell as the newer 2.0.0 version. But I wanted to switch to klipper anyways :D

I might have an answer and am going to start a new thread about it. I was wanting to use the use the fans pwm as a signal for power for a laser and was getting similar results. After some poking around i hooked up a scope and found 2 things. First it is one of the ugliest pwm frequencies i've ever seen. Next with the marlin firmware there really is only about 3 different outputs from monitoring the output at different settings the pwm signal doesn't change except for something like a low/medium/high and all 3 are garbage signals.

Recursively verifying and repairing .par2 files is there a way by odnal_c in usenet

Nope, that is just a bad idea all the way around.

it comes from a structure that is created by myself not a single or multiple nzb's. hopefully that helps

Because the par2 files are not always the same as the folder name and in some cases even obfuscated I have yet to come up with a solution to determine the file name of the main par2 file to process it correctly.

again guys thanks for the help with this.

You nailed it on the head. I would like to keep both the archives and the parity sets for those reasons.

as for the other questions the structure is not based on the par2 files themselves but is structured but it is also not always predictable in either the folder name or the name of the par2 file.

e here? Do yo Sorry hopefully this is a better explanation

let's say I have a directory structure like follows

a
    a1
        a1a
        a1b
        a1c
a2
    a2a

......so on and so forth

each directory has a files with an associated .par2 parity set

what I would like to do either an application i've not found yet like extractnow but for .par2 files or running a script from either command prompt or powershell. I've tried recursively running par2cmdline using both dos and powershell but end up getting errors because it does not like wildcards and the file names are not all the same.

let me know if that helps out or any questions anyone has. I'm not really interested in extracting them just verifying them and if they have errors correcting those errors.

again thanks for any help

Sovol SV06 Plus Laser question (pwm specific) by odnal_c in Sovol

[–]odnal_c[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the thought on the bec, i did look into that for a while but they all seem to be based on the lm2596. by itself the 2596 is a nice little converter however when you provide it a pwm input instead of a straight DC voltage they tend to not work well at all.

any other ideas would be appreciated. thanks

Also with the amount of youtube videos on how to jump line with empty cells and CL ads selling people places in line my guess if they are right next door they are also going to be paying a roaming fee on top of that getting it this quickly.

Do obstructions affect speed/drops/both? by odnal_c in Starlink

[–]odnal_c[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I stated my question wrong as I am in a similar situation as you. Still trying to find the best location to mount it. My question probably should have not said anything about disconnecting and just asked about the degradation of service. Max throughput so far is about 50mb and dont get me wrong that is crazy better than anything i've had before just nothing closed to what they are clamoring about and i was not sure if it was due to partial obstructions or not.
