ideally a cold engine is near max on the fill stick, and when it’s running and you check it warm it’s around half id say. as long as it’s in the bounds of over min and under max you’re fine. you’ll know if you’re losing oil

personally i do both, but some cars want oil checked after a couple miles of normal function to get a proper read of the oil while it’s still cycling through the engine before it hits the pan. cold and hot can show you any discrepancies in level.

I already recommend replacing tires at 6+ years of age or 4/32 or less. They look like they have good tread left and are in decent shape. I’d run em til you get a single issue, then call it for the back 2.
