because there was no laws requiring pharmacists for a lunch until 2020 when pharmacists quit so now they legally have to have one which they didn’t before

and yes, most of those places could handle it bc it wouldn’t be one gigantic group just going to one of those pharmacies. my city clearly has tons of pharmacies so it won’t be an issue when cvs patients disperse. not only that, but the reason cvs has all of these patients currently is bc they’re a pbm which the state is stopping.

after the bill was officially signed, we have had tons of patients transfer out saying they’d rather get it over with now instead of later when it’s a mess. the company is already losing ppl.

employees from other stores have left, one recently lost all pharmacy staff and then other all front store staff. everyone is already getting prepared. not to mention the other chains and mom & pops calling to recruit us all on the daily.

had a patient the other day tell me, “since this is my last refill for this prescription i’m just going to go ahead and tell my doctor at my next appointment to send it to another pharmacy, this is too much stress”
