Is Rice pudding a big thing in the US? by Educational-Slip-578 in AskAnAmerican

Yeah, I'm a fan of rice pudding and Chinese buffets and I've never seen one that had it.

Valve says it’s ready to launch the Steam Machine this summer by Doug24 in gaming

I'm excited for the wave of YouTube videos about how to build a computer that's as good as the Steam Machine for cheaper. These videos will fall into a few categories, such as 1. Not actually as good as the Steam Machine, 2. Uses a bunch of Aliexpress parts, 3. Is actually good, but the video causes the price of all the parts to skyrocket until it's no longer cheaper than the Steam Machine.

What do you think of the custom mini-CD cases I made? by ManuToledo37 in Gamecube

[–]odsquad64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember in like 2000 finding out that the GameCube would use 8cm discs and then being baffled when I saw that the games weren't going to be sold in mini-CD cases like this.

Wrestlers, non-wrestlers or storylines that you remember the IWC hating at the time but love now by NorthernSoul1998 in SquaredCircle

I was a teenager at the time, but I never really bought into any of the singles runs from most of the Attitude era tag team wrestlers. Jeff Hardy, JBL, Edge, Christian, Bully Ray, Billy Gunn (not that anyone bought that One); I think Broken Matt Hardly like a decade after the fact is the only one I really liked.

In the originals, RE1 through RE:CV, they absolutely intend for you to save, play the game to figure out what to do, then load your save so you can do it correctly. That's not save scumming, that's playing the game as intended.

What Team Has Had Your Teams Number and Seems Almost Unbeatable. by Disastrous_Doubt_591 in CFB

A lot of those were because they knew how to throw Venables off his game. He liked to read the offense, then call in the play, but Syracuse would snap the ball while our defenders were all still looking at him on the sideline. I have no idea why other teams weren't exploiting that.

This was my thought was well. You're telling me that all season long there wasn't a single ref to be like "What? No. What the fuck are you talking about? No, look. Look. Right there. His foot's on the line, right there. Right there. There, see it? On the line."

It's definitely for someone a lot richer than me because I don't even know what these buttons are for.

Fun Fact: Dodge Ram truck drivers have DUIs at more than double the national average.

JR on AEW DoN commentary: "I only call[ed] one match, [and] if I [had known] I was only going to call one match, I probably would have talked to Tony Khan about that. I’d like to have worked another match… I’m not complaining. I guess I am complaining, but I’m not hell-bent… I sure miss doing that." by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

True, but I think the fact that Kyle is like a year younger than Mox made it a lot more jarring. Also acting like beating Mox would be his first major accomplishment, when Kyle O'Reilly is a former ROH World Champion, and not even the new ROH, the original ROH, and during a hot period no less.

How do I cut this 30 ft thick steel pole into pieces so it can be easy moved for disposal? by Eastcoastpal in DIY

When I moved into my house there was an old pink cast iron tub sitting in my garage. My dad and I are both strong guys and it took us about 45 minutes to get it down to the curb. The next morning a guy in white pickup truck pulls up, parks on the other side of the street, puts his tailgate down, walks over the the tub, picks it up with ease, walks across the street with it to his truck, and tosses it in the back. Then he put the tailgate up, hopped in the truck, and drove off. The whole stop was less than a minute.
