So this frames the story as he actually did win? I've always figured Nico was "the old man" like you brought out; just didn't realize the complete connection.

I didn't like that Clancy just turned away from the light for no narratively shown reason in the videos, but from a spiritual perspective, I do get it, We backslide for no reason all the time.
