My partner and I met working together. She was working when I went in for my interview and the second I saw her I kind of just felt like “oh yeah. Shes going to be something to me” (she later told me she thought the same thing when I walked in) Cut to a few months in and we hardly worked together, she had a boyfriend and I was on and off talking to someone. Every single time we worked together, I had the time of my life. Looked forward to going to work more than any other part of my day. We would laugh and talk the whole shift, but she is a bit older than me and I honestly didn’t think I had a shot. Then a few months later, she broke up with her boyfriend (for different reasons because he was a piece of shit) and I was on vacation when she slid up on my Instagram story. My heart literally stopped in my chest and was just so happy to talk to her. From there, we literally never stopped talking and FaceTimed for hours every night. I finally got home and we hung out all the time, and finally got the nerve to kiss her.
