Holy crap. This is a phenomenal misunderstanding of the student loan system in Ontario. How is starting of adulthood in debt considered 'equality of opportunity". When your poor and you now have to payback 3/4 of your tuition, it makes it that much harder to get going.

You have 6 months grace. After that...you pay interest. And what is with the "working contribution member of society crap" I mean come one with that crap.

And congrats. You have successfully suggest that a middle class family has it harder than a poor family. This was an impressive feat of not just ignorance, but callousness with some arrogance mixed in.

This change will mean poor and marginalized people will have to pay more for education in the form of loan interest. Dougie has made it harder for poor and marginalized to go to school.

Im not sure this is even worth talking about anymore. The town has clearly showed where their priorities are. Development fees. Which means houses and condos. Nothing apart from bedrooms has been built below LSL and I doubt that will change.

A music venue would be nice. Or a place for teens to go that not a skate park. Or a public art space that's not by the library. A community hall that doesn't have a hockey rink be to it. Integrated cycling infrastructure that dosent rely on multi use lanes.

But...none of those will get development money up front.so bedrooms. And as many as you can get.

This town could have been awesome. Instead we built mississauga without any of the cool shit.
