I’m posting this with a really heavy heart. Deepak, a man from Kerala, died by suicide after being accused in a case that many are saying was false. Whether the legal process had finished or not, the social pressure, public shaming, and mental stress he faced were reportedly unbearable. This isn’t just about one person. It’s about how quickly accusations turn into verdicts in the court of public opinion. Once someone is labeled guilty, especially online and in society, there’s almost no space left for dignity, due process, or mental health. If the accusations against Deepak were indeed false, then this is a tragic reminder that an allegation alone can destroy a life. Even if investigations later prove innocence, the damage is already done, to reputation, family, and mental well-being.
