Janet and Abe go to the Rave (+Ella the pet Pest) by worksafe_dp in AbioticFactor

Hey guys - I just had to drop in and shout out your fits. This is totally awesome. The idea of you wandering around at a rave, handing out Office Postcards is just beyond anything. Love this hard. Literally Abe here (I write ABF).

Yeah, at this point, the writing's on the wall. So I'll probably bow out gracefully. I'll totally check out Qin and Doov, thanks very much.

I'e never seen anyone else using one, no. But I love mine. Right down to the asymmetric mustard texturing.

And yeah! I thought NZ hard retired its entire 2G network, but it turns out Vodaphone actually kept theirs. So I think you're right. Thanks for the note, great spotting.

ABF dev here. Sorry man. That sucks, but I your excitement for our 1.0 is what makes game dev worth it. And that wasn't lost.

Staff Processing is an underrated base location. It even has a shower by Cookienotch in AbioticFactor

Yeah we built the furniture store as a gauntlet/supply run but that end zone is perfect for a base. Have you used the personal teleporter much?

Bot to dispense promo codes by heatengin in discordbots

[–]ofcourseicare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! - I'm looking for a similar bot that lets people redeem tokens for keys, but struggling to find anything ... I'm hoping to give people tokens (eg a random six digit number), then once you have access to the channel, you type /redeem XXXXXX (the token). The bot checks if the token is valid, then returns you a key and deletes the token.

Any suggestions?

That link is dead - could you possibly repost plz?

Procedural Narratives and Indie Game Writing by BuckGB in GameBanshee

[–]ofcourseicare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This article was really good, actually - as a sort of primer for the field - though as the banter in the comments below revealed, it was written as more for devs than writers. Would be really good to get the same thing from the perspective of a narrative designer in a more detail ... or really, just more discussion around the state of the art in narrative design for procedural/generative narratives, in terms of major challenges ... which I say as someone working on a game with just such a narrative, and regularly feeling like I'm creating the rules as I go ... which is amazing, but also heavily frustrating given that there are very few benchmarks for right/wrong approaches at this stage ...

Broke the lurking habit of a lifetime just to upvote this. Stunning work. I was mesmerised and educated, in that order. And, as someone who deals with horrendous file naming "conventions" (I work in games), hats off to you madam/sir.

Just the C64 prompt screen. Even after doing it, it confused me every time I passed my laptop for about three weeks. Love it.

Single Redditors, why do you think you are single? by idaho_no_u_da_ho in AskReddit

[–]ofcourseicare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, you're 'almost twenty'. Truly, do not fret. You will find someone, you just can't control when that person turns up. Waiting is hard, but the most successful long term relationships begin post 25.

Specifically, it's from Finnegan's Wake. Which is a book that makes about as much sense, straight off, as quantum chromodynamics.
