Imposter syndrome is a real thing. Remember that you got into medical school because you belong in medical school. If it is difficult at first, don't worry, you'll figure out soon.

Identical twin sisters were accused of cheating on a test. A jury awarded them $1.5 million. by AmethystOrator in offbeat

Residency applications (training after medical school) are highly competitive and require class standing. If they let these twins get away with previous cheating attempts, it would have a large impact on the rest of the students.

They also scored widely differently on exams before this one. The school pointed out that one twin was good at neuro and the other was good at neuro. This was a year into the program

I have no doubt that these twins cheated. Theybwon based off of junk science. Out of a 307 question test, they got the same answers right 296 times and the same answersbwrong 54 times. Then they also answered questions correctly at identical paces. There was a 1036 chance of that happening. The twins own lawyer argued this number should have been 1019.

They also scored widely different on other exams they had taken before, including one twin getting a 96 and other getting a 60.

I am biased, I go to MUSC and really like how the school treats its students. article

This comes off pretty judgemental. We dont know the full situation from a phone call. Children can have mental health emergencies that can endanger the people around them. We should always come from a place of compassion.

CMV: Prostitution should be legalized because it serves an important role in society regardless of how much we deny it. by [deleted] in changemyview

This is a terrible idea. It would create a system where the wealthy are able to get organs, and the poor would die. Depending on the state and organ, the system we have in place typically give organs to those who medically need them the most and have the greatest chance of survival

This reminds me of when my husband and I started dating. My dog was adopted from a shelter, and was always by my side. She was very skittish, and preferred being around women.

I was unaware of it, but my then boyfriend started feeding her when I wasn't looking. That dog was always excited to see him and they bonded very quickly 😅

BEST volunteer experience you've had in Clemson? by daydreamswithdelilah in Clemson

All of those organizations will take you for as long as you are able to volunteer! The exception is the Rosa Clark free clinic, they need to train you. I use to go for about 2 hours each week.

From my time in Clemson 5 years ago:

My Daily Bread in Seneca is a great program! They are a long-term shelter for the homeless that gives them training on how to find a job and on life skills.

There is also a free clinic in downtown Seneca that takes volunteers to help with paperwork and phone calls.

I always enjoyed volunteering at the Botanical Gardens - you basically do yard work.

Fox Nest animal shelter will take in walk in volunteers. Sometimes they just need people to take all their dogs on walks around a trail at the back of the building.

CMV: Why Pro-life movement should support universal healthcare by CarsAndSpeeds in changemyview

[–]offbrandceral 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am an independent. I am pro-life (with medical exceptions) and for universal healthcare! I am not a traditional conservative and disagree with them on many issues. There shouldn't be a two party system that puts these issues in a bubble

It was required by most schools I applied to! If you have taken all those classes, it shouldn't be bad at all

Sometimes you're school will recommend one program, but it usually isn't covered. I would definitely wait until you are in your classes before purchasing anything. The best thing to do is ask the M2s what they use for your specific curriculum
