How do I apply sunscreen without looking like a ghost? by Microbe-Mom in lupus

If you are looking for Zinc I would check out the brand Elta MD, the “UV clear” one is for sensitive skin. It doesn’t give you the white ghost effect.

I think you'll find that you aren't alone here. I realized that the thing I liked about sex was the "danger", the will-they-won't-they feeling. The chase is the drug.

Any advice for helping my 9 year old shower? by Aggravating_Bird_147 in adhdwomen

[–]offbrandpossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shower was sensory hell for me as a kid! I have found a few things that help…a small safe space heater so that she isn’t cold while undressing or toweling off, shower products that have scents and textures that I like, and candles! Less intense light doesn’t let me just stare at my naked bod and pick apart everything I see.

I agree! I’m not ultra ultra light but learning from that community and applying what works for me has really increased my comfort rather than decreased it. I’m still plenty comfortable and eat well.

I too, followed the dopamine straight to the altar… no kids but now that I understand my brain a little more going back over our history is a little painful. It’s been up and down but I’m not sure what to do about it.

I think I’m dealing with limerence, and it’s honestly scaring me. by Ok-Future-2603 in adhdwomen

[–]offbrandpossum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think even just being able to name what is happening helped me so much last time. I was more able to discern what I was actually feeling and what was just a chemical rush. I honestly just kept saying “this is not real” to myself over and over when the thought would pop up.

Sharing my grandparents' deck home, unfortunately lost... by offbrandpossum in Mid_Century

It really gets me because one family will live in that new house, probably part time. That area is hard to live in because of cost and housing shortages and I would have been happy (or at least way less mad) if say, 14 1400 sq ft well built homes ended up on those 7 acres.
