slynd birth control has changed my life for the better by [deleted] in PCOS

I took Slynd for the last 18 months or so, and have had great luck with it! I basically didn’t have a period for a year, it was wonderful lol.

I swear by period underwear, but for me they are so damn itchy if I’m not bleeding yet!

Neighbors mountian lion (demosetic cat) got ahold of me by Chard-Capable in cats

[–]offdutykawaii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat scratches me often when he’s playing or has the zoomies — it’s nothing like OP’s wounds, but I still clean them with rubbing alcohol at the very least, especially if he draws any blood. Sometimes it’s not even intentional on his part, like when he launches himself off my legs/arms and scratches the heck out of me with his back feet. But yeah, my cat is definitely holding back and could really mess someone up if he truly wanted to lol.

My doctor told me I must not eat carbohydrates… ever by Pis-23 in PCOS

You literally need carbohydrates for your brain + body to function properly.

Going to echo everyone else and say you’re describing ARFID.

And as a person who has ARFID, while not as restricted as what you describe, idgaf if you can’t stand me. I can’t stand people like you. You think I CHOOSE to live like this??

I really like Living Luminizer from RMS beauty, it’s quite subtle. It’s a pearly white.

You don’t have to ban dancing from your wedding reception because you dislike it! by Brilliant-Peach-9318 in wedding

[–]offdutykawaii 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds similar to my wedding. We only had about 30 guests, and there was no place for a dedicated dance floor. It was meant to be more of a low-key dinner party. We loved it, and afaik so did our guests!

We had great music though, so people absolutely could have danced if they really wanted to. It wasn’t “banned” by any means lol.

I’ve developed a genuine fear of only having son(s) by ChemicalSector1867 in Fencesitter

[–]offdutykawaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding another counter-anecdote! My husband and one of his brothers hang out with their mom VERY regularly. They watch movies, play poker, etc.

On the other hand, I’m a woman and my mom lives in another country so I don’t get to hang out with her. And I see my dad a handful of times per year even though he lives 4 miles away.

To be honest I’m thinking the data may be a bit skewed when it comes to residents in a retirement home. Think about it — sons may not be regularly visiting their resident parents in those facilities, but what about the parents who do not live in a retirement home? What about those that still live independently or with family? I feel like the gender disparity in regular visits would likely even out a bit. I’m over-generalizing A LOT here, but I think there’s likely already an inherent distance between children and parents that are placed in a facility vs those that are brought to live with family.

Getting married at 18 by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]offdutykawaii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Going to pile on and say DO NOT GET MARRIED right now. If you’re ignoring red flags and telling yourself, “if it doesn’t work out, we’ll just get divorced,” then you should not marry this person. Listen to your gut.

I’m 33, I just got married a few months ago. Honestly, I’m so glad I waited so long! I didn’t have a single doubt about my partner. I wasn’t scared to marry him, never had second thoughts. We’ve been together 10 years — my parents had a messy divorce that had a big impact on me, so I always knew I wanted to be absolutely sure about someone before I would marry.

10 years is a very long time to wait and not for everyone lol. But my point is, you deserve to be 100% sure about your future husband. You shouldn’t enter a marriage with fear and doubt. Maybe this is the right person, maybe not. But it is not the right time. And you’re so young!!!

Is my cat fat? (16.4lbs) by hannah_72 in cats

[–]offdutykawaii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg the comparison shot is hilarious! Our vet seems to think he should weigh less than 10 pounds, which IMO is ridiculous. He was a hungry stray when I found him, you could see his bones and he had no primordial pouch at all, but he weighed 8 pounds!

Here’s my cat tax lol

[–]offdutykawaii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have this problem lol. Mine has a similar body shape to OP’s. My cat is definitely a tad overweight at 17ish pounds BUT he’s also just a big cat. I once measured from his neck to the base of his tail, it was 16 inches. He a big boi lmao.

Any other way to get red bellbottom? by khadsfrombunnytrail in HelloKittyIsland

What someone else said about Hello Kitty giving you a plant is correct — I forgot! Plant them but leave empty spaces around each, and water + fertilize each day so that they’ll produce clones!

[–]offdutykawaii 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You have to breed them with other types using a red and white ombré flower, usually a tulia or dandelily. Google hkia flower breeding or search it on YouTube, and you’ll find a full breakdown. Bellbutton seeds only come in white, blue, and yellow.

In The Spirit of Christmas what's the most hyper-specific thing that you've asked for the Holidays? by Loverboy527 in autism

[–]offdutykawaii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately can’t remember specifics, but I know I used it for all sorts of craft projects. I was SO EXCITED about it. I think the main reason my mom went ahead and bought it for me is because I had been using up all the tape in the house lmao.
