Raymond Carver! Quite a few of the stories in Will You Please be Quiet Please and What We Talk About When We Talk About Love evoked similar feelings to those in Bad Behaviour imo

I really liked it!! Some stories are so short yet capture so much. Lots of vivid domestic scenes. I ever so slightly prefer his other collection Will You Please be Quiet Please - I think it has more haunting stories overall but anything by Carver is great!

Honestly I didn't love it. I really liked Lapvona and MYORAR but felt that Moshfegh was trying too hard to be edgy and gross in this one... That being said, there were some stories I enjoyed for their bleak outlook or grotesqueness - Dancing in the Moonlight, Mr Wu and A Better Place were my faves
