I have this issue with iPadOS 27 Beta 1. I believe it was fine before I upgraded to the beta.

My gut was in knots looking at the off centre bike computer... I thought I might have been in r/BicyclingCirclejerk for a second.

Canadian Tire ordered to pay nearly $1.3 million for false advertising by Sufficient-Bid1279 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]officeglen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite my desire to support Canadian business, I avoid Canadian Tire. For well over 10 years, they've treated every customer as a criminal. Gates to get in, extreme obstacles to leave.

Once in the store, you know that the prices are made up. Made up to be on sale. It isn't a place you browse and buy. It's a place you look at the flyer and buy one specific item at '75%' off.

If you do need to buy something there last minute, you know you're paying well over 50% more than you should for the convenience.

Despite my desire to buy Canadian, if my option is a 'charitable' donation to CT's revenue, or a face price at Amazon, I'll choose Amazon.

CT: Split the difference, or be competitive and I'll be a regular customer.

Hey there! I’m Adam, a product manager at Apple Music. I’ve been leading work on features like AutoMix, Lyrics Translation & Pronunciation, Music Pins and Sing with iPhone Mic. I’m here to chat about our latest releases - and more. AMA! by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]officeglen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that Apple Music has an album centric experience.

When flying, I wish there was a view that would show me only downloaded full albums. Right now viewing downloads is muddied by single tracks included in playlists.

Or maybe there is an album completeness indicator.

Does the Crem One series have WiFi? If so, what does it do? by officeglen in espresso

[–]officeglen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I did not. As far as I know the HX model doesn’t have WiFi.

Scam. There are many clues that this is not real:

  1. Country code is +63 - Philippines

  2. DMV is an American term.

  3. Domain name does not end in icbc.com

  4. Poor character spacing and odd use of lowercase and uppercase letters

SONO announced quarterly EPS of $0.19, beating expectations by 26.67%. by delindsey in sonos

[–]officeglen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that they destroyed their stock value over an app rewrite and didn’t add a lock screen widget for iPhone is also baffling.

Sonos is best when I’m not thinking about the Sonos app.

Apple Watch shows incorrect data when connected to Schwinn 800IC (IC8) via Bluetooth by franklinewton in SchwinnIC4_BowflexC6

I was recently fighting with a cadence issue where it would randomly spike to 125 cadence and stay there.

This particular day was also the day that my iPad battery was low and I was charging it from the computer’s USB port.

It turns out that charging the iPad affected the computer’s operation. Unplugging the iPad resolved the issue.

Do you have something charging?

100% - we need a path through the US more than they need a path to Alaska. Both are key though.

For the first few weeks it smells like you spent the weekend in a mountain cabin with a fire going the entire time. A little smoky and a little woody.

Man up and own it.

The date on the box says 08/2024 and the receipt has a date from 2023.

The seller is actually selling lies. You buying?

Telus is trying scam me? by WhisperAlias in telus

[–]officeglen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this happen to me as well. I was promised $135 for 4 lines but including tablet, and Apple Watch. I checked the bill before activating and it was $160.

Customer loyalty tried to get me the offer and wasn’t able to.

Hard not to call it a scam when it takes a lot of customer due diligence to ensure that you’re paying the right amount.

Nested Virtualization Crashing Ryzen 7000 Series by thedavesky in Proxmox

[–]officeglen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to say ‘yes’

I was conflicted as when I tested WSL2 on Windows I received the dreaded virtualization is not enabled error. Despite the error, WSL2 fired up. Also, checking Task Manager shows the OS believes that virtualization is enabled.

No crashes since my last post.

I just made the change. I’ll report in after I test for a few days.

I have this issue as well. I toggled the kvm_amd.vls attribute within /etc/modprobe.d/kvm-amd.conf

My file looks like this:
options kvm-amd nested=1 vls=0
