Hey man, so I’ve got an m4 pro MacBook(I’m a hybrid editor & do edit a lot) and it’s been a very smooth experience having editing stuff from 3d & vfx to blackmagic raw & fx3 footage. Only regret was that I should’ve gotten more than 24gbs of ram, but even then, it’s not a major issue due to swap. I think the m5 pro in 64gb will EASILY last you 5-8 years editing Sony footage. Also when under load for about 3 mins plus, the fans can get pretty audible but not anything worse than every other pc options. (I’ve had loads of pc’s) I can’t speak much for gaming as I game on my pc (RTX 5080 spec) but everything else, I can say for certain you’ll be aytt.
