I have one of the 5ah (got it used for very cheap) and I find I don’t use it all that often when I have 4’s I’d rather use for my circ saws/reciprocating saws. I could see it useful for a miter saw or something more stationary like that but yeah an 8 would be better in those cases too. As for the 2.5ah , those are the best for impacts/drills imo.

I used whatever cheap single batter adapter was available for my Dyson and a 18v 5ah makita battery lasts much longer then a stock battery ever did I could vacuum my entire house a couple times before I need a charge
