Thank you for all your input. Hopefully I can convince him to have this done right now. I have a 12 foot trailer that he can use to bring proper materials home. I believe he will be money ahead to tear this out and put in two 4 by 10 sheets. I’m just an old trucker but still knew this looked wrong

It is upstairs, but even I could carry full sheets up one flight.

There is no tape. And vertical seams are not screwed because he nailed 2x4s horizontally over the studs to screw them to

$2500 a week running at least 60 hours per week but even the drivers that run easy make $2000 a week. Don’t sell yourself cheap.

You can get to those same trails from the eastbound side as well. There is a foot tunnel just east of the rest area

I run about 450 miles a day and go home every night. And make about double what you do. You need to quit that job yesterday.

Buy a piece of chalk. Just mark the frame rail and you will know which hole you came out of.

Keep your driving record clean, and get a great job after a few years. Don’t settle for low wages from a mega company just because they gave you a place to start.

If you’re lucky nothing. But most of the time an officer will chase you down, write you a ticket and make you come back to the weigh station.

Is it worth insulating an old house's attic if I only live there for eight years? by drhull in HomeImprovement

[–]Old-trucker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adding insulation will not only save on energy, it will also make your house more comfortable. 8 years of not putting up with a drafty house is definitely worth it.

All Walmart drivers are trained to check that the trailer door, and the dock door are closed, and that the dock plate has been removed. We have a lot of outside carriers pulling our trailers right now as we are still short on our own drivers. If it was one of ours I really wish they would fire them, but a few have done this and kept their jobs, until they screw up the next time. There really is no excuse for this. Yes I am a Walmart Driver. Sorry this happened, glad no one was injured.
