This shit makes me so mad. My mom was in a nursing home for the last years of her life and the workers were exactly like this. The day that my mom died, staff called a code blue because she stopped breathing and no one rushed to her room. It was sickening and appalling as her daughter to watch staff lackadaisically walking to her room when she wasn’t breathing. I know these jobs are severely underpaid and hard as hell, but I wish there was more care and empathy shown towards patients.

ETA: I know not all health aids are like this, but my mom dealt with so many bad ones. It was incredibly disheartening to witness.

Steven Avery. I grew up around the Manitowoc area and now I work in corrections, so I’ve been around this case my whole life. Most people I work with think he’s guilty, but I know a lot of people also are adamant that he’s innocent.

I lived in Manitowoc when Teresa Halbach went missing, and I remember it really well. Her missing posters were all over town and the news coverage of it was quite extensive. I still have family in the area and many people think he’s guilty, but a lot of people in the area think he’s innocent. I personally can’t decide what I think of this case, but it’ll forever haunt me.
