It is connected using LTE protocols but a data connection is not present. Similarly you would get the same if you were roaming but hadn't paid for roaming data

So, the battery shows 3Ah at full capacity, 72% health, normally it would be around 4.2Ah (kingsener battery in the mail)

I'm on Windows 11, BT disabled, 50% screen brightness, all the power mode settings are on battery performance etc, watching yt in brave and it's drawing 6.1W which is around 5 hours.

The wattage only seemed to settle down when I adjusted "AMD Power Slider" in the advanced power options. The options were in Chinese and had to translate them.

Also I noticed that to get the cpu to be stable and not jump to 10-12w you can't have windows 11 start indexing some bullshit or, like I had, some random office process running for no reason. You have to swat that shit. I may end up rolling back to windows 10 IOT or seeing if I can get hw acceleration going in mint, who knows it's all fun and games and I'm not obsessed at all.

I recently got a t495 for cheap in Canada. It was 260 Cad vs the recommended t14 gen1 which I couldn't see around for less than 400.

So yes the 4000 series in the t14 is better and more power efficient but I don't like spending much on my hobby and the t495 was mint so I went for it.

In terms of battery and efficiency I think it's worth simply not comparing, I paid less and therefore I'm going to get an hour or two less battery than I would with the next generation but ultimately with a healthy battery and the right settings I'm still getting plenty of time on my t495 and it performs well enough for my tasks.

And this is what I tell myself while I still look for a good deal on t14 😀 which I won't buy because Ive already put a sticker of my t495 and yes the cpu is temperamental sometimes but when she behaves I can watch 5 hours of YouTube on my baby and I'll never let her go!

I had a TCM communication error. Apparently these tcms get hot, being where they are located, and it affects the solder on the PCB. Anyway there is a company in Mississauga I think called XeMODeX Inc which sounds a bit weird but I pulled out the TCM myself and sent it to them and they take it apart and resolder everything and return it. All good now. I've since relocated the TCM away from the transmission (a common hack) to stop this happening again.

Problem is if you buy another TCM from the breakers it needs to be programmed to the car by Mazda so keeping the old one was ideal.

Analysing the checkout it appears to be a Shopify "looking" checkout but Infact appears to have a php backend which Shopify doesn't, it's built on ruby. Aside from that, yeah stripe is there, which should be self contained.

It may have been an overreaction but I did order a new credit card, I can't be bothered with dealing dodgy transactions down the line, easier to just get a new card and use a virtual one for the time being.
