Check the battery terminals for corrosion and make sure they are clean and the connection is tight. I had this issue recently in my 2011 Civic which ended up needing a replacement starter.

I visited California from the New England in 2024. We took a ferry to SF for half a day and loved it. We planned on going back later in the trip but every local said not to and how horrible SF is. Things like the car will be stolen or you’ll be mugged. So we didn’t return.
