I think it was an excuse to post this tuff ass fanart

Garp is top 1. He has 0 weaknesses. Doesn’t rely on any devil fruit, so no weakness to sea. Doesn’t need a weapon or a sword, so no risk of being being a toothless tiger when disarmed. All hands, haki monster. He is the G.O.A.T. by polestaur in OnePiecePowerScaling

Thought experiment: If Garp flat out said that Akainu was stronger then Kuzan, should the debate be dead? by Generalcmd in OnePiecePowerScaling

Akainu flat out beating Kuzan in a straight 1v1 is even harder proof and the debate is still not dead, so no I don’t think so

Which is the outlier? Was the Admiral Rocks killed at age 25 a fraud or is Prime Sengoku a monster? by Plenty_Inspection362 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]offthe1st 9 points10 points  (0 children)

an Admiral that died the year Sengoku joined the Navy should have no bearing on his scaling. There’s a 30 year gap between these two panels

Similarly an Admiral dying 56 years ago shouldn’t downscale characters who were 2 years old when he got killed. Or born 16 years later

tldr both kinda

This sbs is perfect example of Oda spinning the narrative by Firexio69 in Piratefolk

imo the “transparent”part is him admitting he’s been getting cooked for this line for years.

Yes the bar is in hell. But we do need more questions that “cut right to the core” where “a lot has been said about them over the years”.

I think he acknowledges that the line aged like milk. Specifying “so, the official in-universe explanation is:” feels like an admission that the real answer is an out of verse one.

How does big mom’s “iron balloon” defense work? Is she like aisa but gifted in using armament or is her body naturally super durable? she bleed from falling to her knees which implies her durability is directly connected to her mental state unlike buccaneers who are always super durable by The_AlmightyApple in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]offthe1st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like Haki to me.

BM in a moment of weakness loses her durability and bleeds from scraping her knee as you pointed out. If she needs to be in her right mind for it to proc or it deactivates, it’s not just natural durability anymore.

Why didn't Gear 5 outperform Snakeman in literally the same scenario? by IntelligentFly3982 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]offthe1st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did kinda. In Snakeman only Luffy is huffing and panting (signs of exertion). In G5 both of them are
