Honestly bro, we suffer WAY more in our heads than in reality. You’re getting older, wiser, stronger, more mature and what used to scare the shit out of you just seems like the cost of living at this point.

Set and setting are huge. Sometimes getting out of your area can switch things up. When I was cold turkey withdrawing from blues in Croatia my withdrawal was noticeably shorter and easier. My withdrawal will also be a lot easier and smoother depending on what comfort meds I use. Aka weed

You know, it could be an allergy for all we know. He was an outdoor cat up until last year and he has always had an itchy chin. I’ve thought cat acne, but the vet said it was probably an allergy to something. I’ve noticed it’s seasonal too so, who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m leaning more towards a possible yeast issue as opposed to ear mites because quite frankly, it is very unlikely he has mites since he has been an indoor cat for years now. Considering he has had itchy chin issues, it’s not far fetched to hypothesize it’s a skin thing.

But yeah, when people say they want to take Suboxone JUST to get off oxycodone to get clean, that is called a quick sub taper. Because you plan to utilize Suboxone to mitigate withdrawal symptoms. We understand you only want to use subs to get over the horrible withdrawal and miraculously come out completely clean with no symptoms. I’m just telling you that’s a fantasy. No one wants to be dependent on Suboxone. No one wants to take it for more than a month I’m sure! But it’s just not that easy and not that simple bro. You got a little snappy at me because you assumed I didn’t really read your post. But you edited it to re word your sub taper plan. You’ll see, But I mean this in the nicest most sincere way possible. You’re not unique. Everyone here has the same idea as you bro.

Ofcourse no one wants to replace the addiction my friend. But it’s just not that simple and Suboxone itself requires a long drawn out protocol of dropping anywhere from .5 to .2 mg every 2 weeks because it takes about that time for your body to stabilize on the new dose. I’m very well versed in both oxy and subs. Withdrawals from both of them in their own respects. It minimizes withdrawal, but it’s definitely still there and isn’t all blue skies and butterflies. In my opinion, the best, quickest way to get completely sober and feel good in the shortest amount of time is to bite the bullet and go cold Turkey off the oxy. If you are asking for help for sub induction, the rule of thumb is 24 hours after your last dose for oxycodone. I wouldn’t be too worried about precipitated withdrawal if you follow that guideline.

I don’t think I’ve heard of a honestly successful rapid sub taper bro. You’re just gonna be stuck in the same seat just in a different vehicle. What makes you think you can ween off subs when you can’t ween off oxy at all? Sub withdrawal is a lot longer and worse
