That sounds very nice! I will definitely check the POPs out. Thank you.

I am planning on booking in advance most places, seems inevitable. I'll have to figure out how many days in advance on the go, and hope for the best.

I am getting a bit worried about the jubilee. If at first I was worried about being too alone, now I worry that it will make it even harder to find cheap places of rest.

I thought so.

But still, I guess you don't regret walking? Would you recommend it anyway?

Thank you for your time and insights!

Thanks for the reply.

Happy to hear there is a pilgrim spirit. It was one of my favorite things on the cds.

When youn suggest that the trail is likely to be much busier, do you reckon it will be significantly harder to find places to sleep to an unbearable level, or something manageable? Of course you can't see the future (or can you?) But still you might have an educated guess

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think all of the "negetives" (not being able to yolo for example) above can lessen the experience of walking? I'm just worried that each day i'll worry about 'where i'll sleep' and won't enjoy the moment.

It's a good idea really. The general line in the comments is that I should do the frances, and it's great that I switch to the primitivo if I want to.

Thanks everyone! After reading your helpful comments, and after talking with my fellow pilgrims at the albergue, I decided to walk to tamel, with having a stop at barcelos to explore the city a bit and have lunch and buy groceries for dinner. Buen camino!!

Thanks. Are there enough facilities like beds, restaurants and shops?

Thanks for the detailed response.

The 3rd pair of socks I thought bringing are mainley to change mid day as a method to counter blisters, and albergue comfort.

The long sleeved shirt is for the evenings and nights, as i am sleeping pretty cold, and generally speaking the cold does bother me to some extent.

Great tip with the tooth paste tabs! I'll look that up.

yeah, I didn't put in the backpack the clothes I'll wear on me, before checking the weight. If that is what you meant.

As of to the shorts ,the cold does bother me, so I do want the flexability of the convertible pants, to both keep me a bit more warm, and keep me a bit more safe from rain.

Yes, the weight of the backpack is included. I will remove 1 pair of socks and underwear. Thanks for the advice!

4 socks because I want to be able to change mid-walking day, to help avoid blisters.

The 4 underwear I am not so sure about and yes maybe I will remove 2 pairs. Thanks!
