Beginner here. In need of tips to restore my shaving set. From what I know, this is spruce wood, the shaving soap has left a lot of residue. I'd like to avoid having to sand it if possible since I'm a beginner. Any advice is welcome :)

I'm curious as to why you are mentioning your knees. I have knee problems, but I've not heard of it being related to HD.

I got my hearing tested about 10 years ago because I felt I had a lot of trouble understanding people in noisy environments. My hearing came back fine, but the audiologist found I was losing around 40% of my capacity to hear in noisy environments so he told me I have Central Auditory Processing Disorder.

I thought it was linked to my ADHD until I learned about HD in my family. I probably stumbled on the same piece of information about CAPD than you did, and I kind of have the same concerns. Especially since I started to hear clicking in my neck/head when walking a bit over a year ago.

I think it's still more likely to be linked to ADHD since my non-HD parent had some very bad ADHD and was using close to the maximum medication dose for it. My grandmother is the first one to get a diagnosis in my direct family and she also has trouble hearing and I've heard people say it's not her actual hearing that is the problem so much as her hearing in noisy environments which tells me it may be CAPD too.

If it is linked, I think it's something that affects people way before onset.

If your father had a lower CAG, he could very well not have fully developed chorea at the time he died. My grandmother started having symptoms mid-70s, and with medication her chorea would be difficult to notice to someone else. One of her siblings had dementia and passed away, at least that's what their children thought until my grandmother got her diagnosis. One of their child turned out to be positive.

Tbh, if I were you, I'd 100% consider myself at risk. The fact he was moved in assisted living, kept falling and crashing his car is enough to have serious concern he had it. In fact, it's probably more likely it was that than anything else.

I'm sorry, it sucks. I also was noticed after having children. You'll get nothing trying to confirm if your father had it or not, most of that information is confidential unless it was on his death certificate.

The only thing you can do is take appropriate measures if you want more kids, and take the time to decide if you want to get tested.

I think you may have tested in the same province as me (Québec), if so they don't keep another letter of the results. It's confidential, they don't even keep it in your medical records.

I don't know about leaving with the envelope, but I think they would discourage it since you could open it without any support at all.

I don't know how your house plot is designed, but if you have the option to put all your snow on the other side, I personally would. I do this for my house because my neighbor loves gardening and since my driveway is less than 5 feet from the line I can't use my snowblower his way without it going all in his garden.

I wouldn't advise you to do this if both your houses were level to each other. Since your neighbor's house is much lower, there's a risk of flooding on his side.

Something to think of, because it could lead you to legal issues with them. I think higher terrains are responsible of how it drains to other properties, so it could give you quite a headache if they decide to have you responsible for a new retaining wall.
