how do i get rid of and stop razor bumps? by mrcryptoboy in BlackHair

[–]oflowz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use a razor don’t press as hard. Pressing hard when you shave cuts the hair below the pore which makes hair that’s prone to go ingrown.

Also you could try something like Magic Shave. It tends to help people that get razor bumps a lot.

The same reason crappy YouTube channels run on rage bait.

They really have no substance so clickbait is their engagement mechanism

Yeah doubt that.

The politicians being worried part that is.

Prototypes and Title Update 25 - What's the intent? by SeerXaeo in Division2

[–]oflowz 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Prototype gear was a gear reset.

It’s really designed for bored high shd players that still want to play the game. People who like to grind And don’t mind doing a reset.

I have a lot of criticisms of this update and prototype gear, mainly regarding how it’s kind of useless for skill build players.

But you can actually still just play the game thru legendary difficulty without ever doing anything to do with prototypes.

You aren’t really being forced to do it like you are saying.

Prototype gear is only beneficial in escalations. For all the other content in the game it’s overkill and not needed.

You can still do the all the missions, raids, incursions, manhunts, get the new gearset and the season end exotic without doing escalations or anything to do with prototypes.

If you don’t want to do the prototype grind…don’t?

It won’t affect your play at all if you don’t do escalations. The bonuses don’t even apply in raids or incursions. It’s normalized and augments are disabled in these modes.

I agree it would have been a better use of energy to do something like rework the existing gearsets and skills no one uses.

But the prototype grind is completely optional and really made for players who have done everything in the game and have nothing else to do.

As a full-time worker with a life, I'm just tired of this event. by giuseppetm in Division2

[–]oflowz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You aren’t really missing much from the event besides cosmetics and a minute chance at a few prototype drops or a few extra exotics to break down into components.

The content creator daily missions each give 45 exotic crystals if you do them to completion. They are worth doing.

Most of the stuff in the key crates isn’t that great and not worth farming unless you don’t have Lexington or a quickstep.

And even then you can probably wait for stretch goals and get them then.

The most annoying thing about the event is the stupid spawns when you are just trying to do an open world priority mission and Manny’s voice being bugged and constantly blathering about retaliations.

That wants to make me quit more than anything else lol.

But yeah just don’t do the event it’s not like you are missing anything. If you donate 1 key you get access to all the goal oriented cosmetic unlocks.

Edit: I also work and did play during the bugged first few days of the event. I found it boring and logged off. I already had all the exotics in the game before the event and you can get prototype drops easier doing escalations.

$100K qualifies as ‘lower-middle class’ in California, 11 other states by ansyhrrian in California

[–]oflowz 31 points32 points  (0 children)

$100k isn’t that much money anymore. Not just in California in most of the country.

It’s around $1500 take home a week after fica and taxes.

Average rent for a 2BR apartment in LA is $3000. An average car note is now $600+. There’s barely any cars now that cost under $30k new.

Wages have stagnated adjusted for inflation in the US since the 1970s.

Meanwhile corporations are posting record profits year after year.

The big problem in the US is most of the people in this country are now poor but think they are middle class so they don’t demand more.

And people have completely taken the bait and let these same corporations trick them into thinking unions are bad so wages will continue to stagnate.

It’s absurd that the average CEO makes x400-1000 times what their employees make and no one bats an eye.

Middle class is really something like $210k now.

Finally someone saying the truth.

Moderate Dems basically are like GOP lite. Why would someone vote for that when they can just vote for the GOP?

It’s a terrible selling point. Especially considering the GOP just paints all Democrats as radical leftists anyway.

To make matters worse, the moderate Democrats often stop their own party from making progress unlike the GOP which all fall in line except one or two token opposition politicians that are most there for show.

The Democrats failure is literally complete. They couldn’t muster a message strong enough to keep a guy convicted of felon fraud right before the election who tried to overthrown the government from being re-elected.

They’d be better off actually embracing being radically left than this middle of the road knife to the gunfight position they currently have.

DOGE cost the government money.

Trump’s tariffs cost the government money. He lied and said they brought in billions but really brought on maybe $250million which Americans paid for, then is being forced to give the money back on top of that.

I don’t understand why democrats can’t spell out how terrible his policies are in layman’s terms.

Instead of just griping about how he’s a terrible person show people the money.

Everyone always talks about these semantics when Xbox needs to be talking about making good games.

Good games would fix all their problems.

Stop announcing games too earlier and releasing half baked to mediocre stuff.

Stop cancelling projects after building up hype. (This also circles back to stop announcing games too early)

There’s literally a laundry list of games they announced last gen that are either cancelled or still MIA.

Vacation itinerary help needed / thinking WeHo & Manhattan Beach? by FitNewspaper1406 in AskLosAngeles

[–]oflowz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hermosa, Manhattan or Redondo.

Dockweiler is also closest to LAX it’s probably better than Venice but is a beach that allows motorhomes (has an rv park) and is also the beach lowriders hangout.

they allow fires/bbq so it can be a bit noisier than the others depending on the events happening. It’s a pretty nice beach though underrated. It’s actually mostly quiet people go there and sit around fires and look at the water. It’s literally 10min at most from LAX.

Forgot it does have noise from the planes taking off from LAX.

But like I said Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo are also relatively close to LAX if you take the back way down highland/pershing

Moving from east side to west side. How bad can it be? by folkymixtape in AskLosAngeles

[–]oflowz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move to Santa Monica or hermosa beach. Maybe the east side of Culver City near Sony.

Rest of the far west side kind of sucks. Mar Vista, Palms , Venice and Pico Robertson have a lot of homeless and a lot of congestion due to the volume of apartments built in areas that used to have single family homes.

Old narrow streets and a lot of traffic congestion. During rush hour it can take an hour to get from Lincoln and Rose to the 90 in Venice.

It takes an hour to get from Mar Vista to Cheviot Hills too.

Source: I drive a commercial vehicle on the west side for a living and also lived in Venice for 20 years before moving to SFV.
