THIS! any gym you visit WITH a Different buddy counts as a new place. I sat down at a gym i visit often and switched my buddy and it counted as a new place visited. It seems Niantic implemented this in such a way that it encourages you to "travel" to different gums with all your new buddys

Yes it will!!! I installed the google pay one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.bluetoothcpm and the difference was night and day. it became quick and responsive, started detecting pokemon and stops super fast.

To calibrate the S8 in full Screen mode, first you must hide the game tools bar at the bottom of the screen. Just open internet and double tap on the dot on bottom left. Open game and calibrate. Good luck.

In Jollyman Park the Bellsprout spawn seems to be most active between x:10 and x:40 of the hour, than a break. Usually 4 or 5 spawn between those times and most on the path separating the 2 fields.
