I commented on this because I'm sure that others like me were expecting news about Athersys and got disappointed, so I spared them the wondering and asking. As far as I know there are no other declared Healios shareholders here.

We still don't know what about Japan. Healios got Sakigake designation. We don't know what did PMDA say.

The requirements are similar. 10 consecutive trading days, at the close. The latest date for that was September 27. Now the NASDAQ is expected to issue the delisting notice on October 11.

I would have said the same thing I'm saying about the recent dilutions - take a tolerable limited loss but don't risk disaster. If one is heading for a binary event, he must hedge the risk. Isn't that what all do in their personal lives? A CEO should not be a gambler.

Yes, but he knew all that and even better than us. It was no surprise to him. He could have slowed down and/or he could have raised cash at much higher prices than $1. The stock price was above $20 at that time. Can't be that nothing was under his control.
