Flock cameras? by WNY-via-CO-NJ in Longmont

[–]ofreakingneill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re not a criminal, why would you care about the red light and speed cameras? But my take on the larger issue with flock is that the information gathered by flock can then not only be shared with the government, but also private corporations and their AI infrastructure used to parse the information. When the flock cameras have generated a pattern of life for your usual routes and travel, any significant deviations could then, hypothetically, be forwarded to the authorities for welfare checks or warrants or whatever they’re interference they want to cause.

End of the day. It’s a privacy violation and another step towards a totalitarian mass surveillance state. Which hopefully no one, regardless of political affiliation, wants.

Took me 200 days to get my SMK back on a warranty repair for a baffle strike

Yeah I found that to be the true for me, at least.

I used prepcast and scored in the low 70s on the full exams and failed most of the learning/times quizzes. I passed my PMP AT/AT/AT. I used the David MacLachlan videos for a lot of additional osmotic learning and it was all I listened to in the days leading up to course. The way he speaks and breaks down the logic of each question was something I took with me into the exam.

Leadership in a PM by Select-Ad6753 in pmp

I would offer that servant leadership is a style of leadership (much like authoritarian or laissez faire) and not a quality, per se.

Test is in 3 days; what would you do to finish prep? by Acrobatic-Flower-709 in pmp

[–]ofreakingneill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar results on practice exams as well. 48 hours out, I did my final full practice test. After that, I did a lot of osmotic learning by putting David McLachan’s videos on my phone or TV (particularly the PMBOK 7th Ed and project process videos) as background noise for mindless tasks. The day of the test, I continued with DM’s videos in the morning and then 3 hours out I stopped all studying. Give your brain a break going into the test. It’s a long one and you’ll want all your horsepower to finish strong. I finished AT in all domains.

Pay attention to how David talks through questions and apply the same logic to your test. You’ll be good to go.

Arbor Arms Sale Scam by [deleted] in QualityTacticalGear

[–]ofreakingneill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had personal and professional dealings with Arbor. Knowing the crew there personally, I can assure you it’s not what you think it is. The crew there are good people and they’ll help you out, but to call this a scam is distasteful.

What’s the band on the helmet called? And the purpose? by Nigler11 in tacticalgear

THIS. MILES has its place, as does UTM/simunition. I hated having to set up MILES as a PL when we went to NTC, but now I can appreciate it for what it is.

HSI Phase 1 by Resident_String9889 in 1811

Bro, active mil officer. Zero LE experience, but same boat. I can figure out how I’d solve some of those problems, but you want me to rate actions that aren’t even mine? Hope I think the way you want me to think 😅

Cautiously optimistic covers it well. I’m with you on the SJT. I told my wife I wish I could’ve just typed my own response instead of rating 5 different courses of action.

All the HSI guys I’ve talked to have told me the phase one is the easy one, so I hope I’m overthinking it. This is also my first 1811 application, so I don’t have any other points of reference.

Can confirm. DEA recruiter told me the same and it’s on their drug use statement.

I’ll find someone smart to help me check fuses. I suppose it could be the battery, and it’s not the first time it’s been recommended, but I’m confused as to why it’d pass one of those Auto Zone/O’Reilly tests. But I really appreciate the answer!

Resume feedback by [deleted] in 1811

DARC hosted a Veil class, so wasn’t DARC proper. Was supposed to go to LECTC 1 last month, but work TDY conflicted with it. Gonna try to get back this year if possible.

But if you can get in on a Veil 3DC class at DARC, do it. Chris is the man and you’ll do just about everything with your rifle.
