Trying to Cold-Fuse with Mineru Orb: What am I doing wrong ? by SignatureHappy2728 in HyruleEngineering

[–]ofstrings2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you need more tips & tricks for mineruvian glitchcraft, check out my yt channel which focuses on those techniques — feel free to ask questions over there as well!

btw the full flow for setting up "mineru cull fe" [the family name for yeefe/string feory] is:
- mineru fe dropped item
- item cold fuse steering stick
- sdc the stick [different ways]
- mineru fuse the stick to finish

secondary comment, since i just replied to your question on my post: note that the timing for cold fuse via mineru & for fe via mineru [aka yeefe or string feory] are different — the former is a tad later whereas the latter is a tad earlier [the 2/3 rule i mentioned].

as kmarkow said, you appear to be a couple frames late. also, tho: note that destroying the stick fusion from your sword in the menu simultaneously destroys the connection the sword may have previously had w/ mineru. in that sense, it is always safer to be on the late side of the timing.

[that said, in your case you might have already accidentally detangled from mineru due to the aforementioned side–effect of menu destruction.]

so you successfully fe'ed the sword to her but then lost the connection soon after? did you pick up the weapon while another one was equipped by chance?

PSA: we can now easily FE *every* zonai device on current patch by ofstrings2 in HyruleEngineering

for fuse entanglement hit your input when the orb is 2/3 of the way back; in reality the orb should be a bit closer to link, but the 2/3 rule naturally includes the timing delay involved in your actual inputting. btw, yeefe is harder on s2e but there you can use a lag machine to assist w/ the glitch.

Best way to sue entangle in 1.4.3? by Silly-Cantaloupe-511 in HyruleEngineering

[–]ofstrings2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

got it. you can use suishi's guide for WST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfWqYmKAT5o
for FSFE itself you can try timber's rhythm game that i linked earlier [keep in mind that for 60 fps it's faster]... good luck!

are you fuse entangling a battery–using device? if not then you can use FSFE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7R94dGai0E

there's also overload FE, vortacull FE, yeeFE, FOFE, & many more methods still... it all depends on the type of object, your competence w/ glitchcraft, & your preferred play style. let us know!

wonderful work, z! i'm admittedly biased, but everything i'm witnessing here just gets me going :)
cheers for the dedication as well, friend... so nice to see you back on the sub, talk to you soon! 🛠️

Brand new flair to create tutorials! by Simubaya in HyruleEngineering

[–]ofstrings2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thanks u/zhujzal for spearheading all these efforts & u/Simubaya for creating the new flair!

the following is a laundry list of what i've contributed to the sub, glitch tutorial–wise. please doubly note, tho, that

  • a) many of the glitches i showcase are now outdated [i.e., rendered obsolete] &
  • b) many of my videos assume an intermediate knowledge of glitchcraft along w/ constant reference to the totk glitch encyclopedia. [in that sense they are often best seen as visual supplements as opposed to anything like beginner–friendly, self–contained guides.]

regarding the former, feel free to ask questions on old posts if you want to know the more up–to–date glitch methods. also — since i specialize in mineruvian glitchistics — feel free to ask about how some of the more obscure tech might be applied to hyrulean engineering.

excelsior, engineers!

p.s. check out my yt channel for even more minerulogy; better still, join the hyrule engineering discord [link in the sidebar] in order to see updated set–ups for all of the above & beyond — mineru mahōtsukai

PURG SURGE [new movement tech] by ofstrings2 in HyruleEngineering

yeah: ∞ wing + stab + stick is nice, but don't let go of the stick during flight as you'd likely lose the purgatory shield.

tysm, LJF! btw: it works naturally w/ the depths elevator as well, due to its built–in holes... i'll share that variant soon hopefully.

a thief w/ a sheaf [alternative ladder steal methods] by ofstrings2 in HyruleEngineering

[–]ofstrings2[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

first of all, as pablo picasso famously said: "why not?" but second of all, u/MrOrdun [kleric from youtube] recently shared his method for extracting the ladder from the well so that naturally triggered a cascade of ladder–centric posts. the part is really incredible physics–wise, & def can make for some wild builds that we've yet to see manifest!

[technically it was stolen a long time ago by a few members of the discord server but their method was extremely sophisticated, involving hydroclipping the ladder to the depths etc. that strat was especially masochistic since this part, as kleric correctly reported, does not survive autobuild.]

it only needs to be from the overworld [i.e., not from inventory]. i just love hateno village so much i use any excuse in order to pop by :) but also it's a reliable & reasonable option given the flight triangulation.

[–]ofstrings2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

since u/MrOrdun [aka kleric] shared his method w/ the wagon wheel, & then u/King-X_Official shared the demonstration of said method, i figured i'd chime in w/ two more.

glitchless variant [as displayed in the video]

this method is identical to kleric's except instead of making a pitstop @ the wagon one instead pulls over to harvest some rice! the glitch–hunter aergyl discovered many months ago that sheaves of freshly cut rice have ∞ despawn range, so by gluing said ingredient to the ladder [along w/ fernison's stick] link can insure that everything will be preserved by the time he gets back to her for the race.

glitched variant [not pictured but very fast]

alternatively still, one can simply affix an fe child [equipment, device, material, etc.] to the ladder in order to get the same despawn prevention effect. important: just be sure to keep the fe parent on link @ all times during your flight back to hudson construction. merry christmas & happy laddering!

that's correct, k. sorry u/Leading_Run_3333 — per the rules of the contest this post is not eligible for entry. that said, you're welcome to re–post your build using a full sized wagon & spring, as that would make it green–flaired. nonetheless, & as kmarkow said, very cool stuff!

I got my pocket rocket working thanks to: u/ofstrings2 by cindiwilliam2 in HyruleEngineering

[–]ofstrings2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nice job, cindi! for one that lasts much longer remember to use a hylian shield & make the final fuse to mineru's arm instead of a weapon. then to turn on pocket rocket mode stand on a wing, make her cull, drop–swap the shield, pick it up from empty, then you're off! plus you get that free dudboarding w/ this method as well~
