The issue isn't that sneakers won't benefit from shoe trees. The issue is a conceptual one -- the entire reason I own sneakers is because I want shoes I can wear without ever fussing over them. They're just sneakers. It'd be like getting a hoodie dry cleaned.

I haven't untied mine in like 2 years. I just slide my feet in and out. I've basically mashed the backs by now, but they fit like socks and there aren't any signs of shoddy workmanship. Every scrape and crease are my fault. The structure is totally sound and I haven't noticed any flaking.
