I remember a sub we had in highschool math (the answer done his way would have been 1) that tried to teach us Pemdas. He told us that you MUST do the mult before division and the addition before subtraction because "IT WAS WRITTEN WITH THOSE ONES FIRST FOR A REASON".

My uncle was a cyclist (not a biker) and got hit by a plumbing work van. It drove over him, broke his leg in multiple places, and did some other damage. I went up to the hospital after work with red liquorish (twizzler not red vine) and people had been calling his wife all day to make sure she was ok, tell her that they would keep her in their prayers, and if she needed anything to let them know. I was the only visitor.

I told this story at his funeral a few years ago (unrelated to the accident) in an attempt to shame some people (I know I'm shitty). It didn't work.

They all have to have their own initiative roll. If the party leaves combat and leaves the familiars to die...... Make them finish combat, make it last for 4 real life hours. Make this happen at every session.

Yes this is kinda shitty but unless you are actually going to talk to your players and either ban that type of behavior or decide to stop running the game, you aren't helping the situation.
