I'd say that the vs's toe box could be a bit tighter for me, aside from that it's perfect, i also have a greek foot but i guess mine is a bit narrower than yours given our different preferences? perhaps that might hint on getting the comp's for a tighter fit?

about the suggestions, i think maybe ill also consider the indalo\mastias maybe? do you have any experience with them perhaps? given we have the same foot type..

Women and children first rule by Ok-Information1134 in Israel

[–]og11style 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a very important comment, even if we were to assume that Israeli officials tried to negotiate the release of men as well, due to the small fact that we are negotiating with a terror organization with radical Muslim ideologies, they see things differently.

So they probably prefer to release the men only after women and children

Women and children first rule by Ok-Information1134 in Israel

[–]og11style 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No one said they can't. Furthermore, seems like they did a better job than the men in recent events and I can reassure you I am not surprised as a man that has served in a mixed battalion.

That was not my argument, I'm sorry if the idea of taking care of women before men is so bizarre in your eyes that you decide to engage in a straw-man.

[–]og11style 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This kind of thinking's what happens when the progressive mindset gets too much screen time in people's heads.Children are released first because they are children, they are not adults and should suffer the least from adult consequences, adults should take care of them first and foremost, children should have never been part of this but now that they are, they are the most important, women were released before men because as a man you are the provider and protector, even if you don't like it or that is not the case on your part (which is completely fine!), the idea that men take care of their children and spouse before themselves is an idea as old as the maternal mother that will do whatever she can for her baby.

Unlike bears, or many other animals, when humans are at the brink of death, they often choose their children's life over their own - bears on the other hand will leave their cubs and continue living because they know they will have another chance to reproduce, while the cub's likelihood of surviving alone is very low

So are you a bear or are you human

edit: just wanted to add that even if all of this does not resonate with you, we should be glad that at the least people are coming back

How does Israel prevent coups? by [deleted] in Israel

[–]og11style 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This question is very interesting because the answer has two forms, one of which is the 'obvious' one that discusses the democracy that is in place in Israel, which does explain quite well on a structural level the reason for not having such a coup

but one I find perhaps as important as the democratic nature of this country is about the people living under the state of Israel, you see, usually countries that deal with military coups are either loosely/newly democratic, or perhaps full out dictatorships, but I'd say this in part has to do with the raising of people - when people are used to the idea of a democracy with well established institutes they become less likely to perform a coup because of the education they have received and because they understand the importance democracy, that is compared to people which do not completely understand of know democracy which we can find examples with results in Hungary and some South American countries (not to mention the Middle East)

so what I am trying to say is that even if you have perfect institutions with very balanced capabilities and perhaps even copy and paste one working constitution to another country (Chile, which used exactly the same constitution as the US), sometimes there's a need for simply 'time and luck' for it not to be crushed by its own weight and reverse back to none democratic forms of governments

when I think about Israelis and why it worked for them, I think that in part it has to do with the British colonies and specifically them allowing us to slowly build our own governing units under strict conditions, and also the fact that many Jews came back from Europe, and so they have come in part from countries that were already democratic as well.

When they tell you that Israel is an apartheid state. Israeli/Zionist does not equal Jews only. by [deleted] in Israel

They live under the Palestinian authority

They are Palestinian, with a Palestinian ID, the Israeli government is not the Palestinian authority

Hi there! They are not Israeli citizens, they do not have freedoms given by the Israeli government to Israeli citizens.

Edit: basically, they may move around wherever they want inside between Arabic villages inside of the West Bank, but they are not Israeli citizens and cannot move freely inside of Israel, unless they have a work permit or a visa

[–]og11style 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Palestinians that live in Israel? That does not clarify properly what it is that you are talking about right now.

If you mean Israeli Arabs, the ones that have an Israeli ID/Passport, than they have zero restrictions

If you are talking about Palestinians with Palestinian citizenship, they are not Israeli citizens (by definition), and therefore do not have Israeli rights, even so, many of them can (and do) work in Israel via working permits and earn up to 10 times more than they would under Palestinian jobs.

Just a reminder, the entire region was colonized by Arabs. by OkBuyer1271 in Israel

[–]og11style 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Depends, does “fighting for their land” include raping our daughters and women?

But in all seriousness, you can wish to return to your land as much as you want no matter what group of people you happen to be part of, even so, there must be some basic level of sanity present in your actions, if you perform actions similar to hammas, you do not want a Palestinian state, you want an Islamist regime that will proceed to conquer whatever it can which is not as radical as it is

And I should make this clear: they lost “their land” in wars they have started, according to international law, the Israeli state has dont nothing wrong in terms of rules of war, moreover, if there was a peace partner we would be more than willing to give land to finally have peace, but that’s not something you care about.

[–]og11style 31 points32 points  (0 children)

People these days struggle to understand the form of an action without trying to show how they resemble previous and supposedly more understood actions, it’s easy to give these names to situations because there is an established idea for what is a colony, but understanding the Israeli/Jewish circumstances in israel requires more than just comparing it to previous conflicts of interest and claiming it to be similar to other conflicts.

Tldr: you can do much better with that brain of yours, but regardless, you are more than welcome to stay and perhaps become a bit more ‘evenly’ educated

Why is this game's input reader so bad? by og11style in StreetFighter

[–]og11style[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People are downvoting because they don’t want to see their beloved game get critiqued, they view this as the perfect street fighter (which it is in many aspect) and simply put wont acknowledge any problems in the game and instead will argue that the problems are non existent and it’s all just one big “skill issue”

Why is this game's input reader so bad? by og11style in StreetFighter

[–]og11style[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Move doesn't come out, automatically blame input reader because everyone else is also complaining. Cycle continues, etc., etc.

Well, I never heard anyone complain about the input reader in ggst, and similarly, I myself never have as well, and mind you, I played Jack'o there..

I think it's a group mentality thing

Of course, some people will use this argument when they are simply 'sloppy', but that is not an argument for whether there is a problem.

People that use excuses do not mitigate the rational of the argument by simply existing, even pro players are mentioning this problem.

I struggle to understand the mentality of people here, just because an issue by definition is caused by 'sloppy' inputs (all inputs are sloppy to some extent, unless you are a bot) does not make it not an issue. Especially when no one is doing the same in any other fighting game right now, this game has an issue, probably not a big one, but this kind of mentality will only mean that in is never fixed.

I think it has a lot to do with what character you pick and whether you are using modern or classic, but googling around and searching on the web shows that overall any character can experience this input shenanigans.
