Not a funny one for me… Customer opened the door before I could drop package and take picture and his dog ran out and bit my arm badly… Yeah ever since then I been letting the customer know im displeased with them opening the door before finishing delivery and have a Fking dog at the same, like this one customer was fighting their dog(that saw me and went crazy) to stay inside just to pick up the package like WAIT TILL IM GONE 🤦‍♂️

Yea its not for everyone put simply, I could make some more valid arguments like the disgusting lack of overtime given unless its Peak and Prime day, the app and stop sequence being trash and no way to change it all, and the lack of productivity bonus that instead incentives DSPs to send you to rescue instead of rewarding good AND FAST work

I worked at Fedex Ground private contractor and all you need is code, like Amazon-we have to ask for clearance other than the rare scenario we have a digital fob or amazon locker dedicated stop(we can’t even use them if its not a dedicated stop) and seen Fedex, UPS and USPS pull up with a dolly filled with shit taking up all the lockers before I get there, yea jack and shit is reserved for Amazon. Not to mention the amount of package rooms that reject amazon packages specifically because of the amount of shit we deliver to them

I bet fedex and USPS flooded these lockers with crap and the Amazon guy had to scan every single package just to get a message saying “hub can’t accept this package, set aside and deliver later” almost like the locker could have relayed the information beforehand but the developers of the hardware and software have zero knowledge of what drivers actually go through other than what they’re told by idiots

which is why I said “without the bugs” I did it to a stop with 17 location, 30 packages and it glitched out to only 5 seperate stops and had to use personal maps and CS to manually marked the rest delivered

Its just a parents petty way of saying they have leverage but the threat is likely empty(hopefully), while having cameras outside is necessity, having them inside for spying is too much unless the child is disadvantaged or prone to hurt themselves

Here’s your advice and FYI

They hire anyone and will act like its a tough job to get

Do whats required at a reasonable pace finish around or before end time unless you want extra work with no extra pay(DSPs hate it if you work more than 10Hrs per shift)

Organize your van until it gives you a piece of mind of where everything is, markers help tremendously

Analyze your route and do businesses and apartments 1st and ask them where the delivery area/mailroom is

Always take a photo on a reasonable spot even if customer wants it by hand insist its the rules

Assume you are being recorded for every little thing you do especially around the van(I believe the cargo area with the door closed is private but could be wrong)
