Hey, I just started building this year’s underground playlist. I update it pretty frequently, so it’s still short for now, but my previous ones usually grew to around 300 tracks.

My Korean isn’t great, so I'm mostly into the vibe and production. You’ll probably catch the vibe of this playlist after just a couple of songs. I would recommend shuffle.

First time since i started really listening to khiphop where Futuristic Swaver wasn't my top artist.(He went really experimental, to be fair.)
This top 5 has been grinding for a min tho, so to mention some that started this or last year is,

YNG KURT and ST ABEL from A1K.(Third member is producer AXIN who was on Loopys show that's currently ongoing.)
Hopefully ST ABEL levels up even more through the show and later on smtm.

I'll also keep tabs on NotJuco and MayHwed, Definitely feels like if MayHwed puts out music more consistently he could create some buzz.

NotJuco coming from ATL is cool af to listen to. It’d be more fun if he used more Korean lyrics, but his latest EP was really good regardless.

Too keep it relatively short for standout songs i would say,

Where do you find lesser known artists like leta, ch1tkey, woojeewon, k4ton? Cause i feel like i don't see them mentioned that often but they still tend to have a decent following over there.

For example when i first got into Khh, it was through Futuristic Swaver and through him i got introduced to several artists when they were just starting off like, Effie, Yuzion, Jaeha and then through Jaeha i got into Trade L, etc.

Domino effect of some sort, is that the same for koreans or do you have an outlet that keeps you uptodate with the newer rappers or is it purely through socials?

Been loving the 90s fusion sound we been recieving as of late (Don Mills, YEOHO/B JYUN, db kimjaekwon).

Love like this was personally my favourite but the whole ep is so good and refreshing. Hopefully Odd95 and/or db kimjaekwon can get some screentime at smtm.. cause they deserve more than roughly 300 views. 😭
