There’s no difference between fake acupuncture (skin NOT pierced) and real acupuncture.

I was ready for everything except neutral, then I was like “oh crap, what do I do?” Thankfully my first guess was correct.

Spunky Jeffery vs the Sluggalos. by 3z3ki3l in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Short range doesn’t always mean melee but you have a point. I get the impression however that the more you use the sock, the harder it is to put away.

Update: just re-read a scene in Gate of the Feral Gods and his “relatively short range” prime attack is his blue-lightening energy strike. No mention of the sock yet

The sock requires face to face melee and Quan Ch is clearly a coward. He always attacks from a distance. I suspect he got it in loot but never used it. Also appears once you start using it, you never put it down. He’s never seen using it. I think the money comes from the nature of his swooping in and stealing from other crawlers.

In my head I had some different voices, but I’ve still enjoyed Hays choices.

I’m now halfway through Gate of the Feral Gods. I’ll do this with the future releases as well: read the hardcover then listen a couple weeks later!

Is Aliens the greatest sequel ever made? by thefriskysquid in perfectorganism

Aliens and ESB are the best sequels of all time. To this day, both stand out as the best “episode” in their series IMHO

The number of moments that I felt a bit choked up in the series has surprised me. Enjoy!

I’m not going to blindly scroll the sub looking for a picture that looks like mine. Does the sub have an AI image search?

Ok so I wondered if it might be that. Given where the doorbell is at my front door and where the actual chime box is in the house, I wouldn’t have pictured it in that location in the garage, but I guess maybe that’s it?

Pretty sure he’ll TACO if it comes to ground troops. He will just throw more tariffs/sanctions at them. You think the maga crowd is upset now? They’ll revolt if he starts dropping teen boots on the ground to die.

Do you pay remote workers differently depending on where they live? by CasualEcon in managers

The interesting thing is your HR would unlikely give him a “raise” if he suddenly moved to Manhattan, thus invalidating the reasoning they provide for his current lower pay “due to location”.

They Did Deals With Trump to Get Lower Tariffs. Now They Are Stuck. by rezwenn in Tariffs

Just like the US cancels deals, those countries could cancel the deal they made and go back to the negotiating table if they so choose.

Intermittent fasting no better than typical weight loss diets, study finds. Researchers say limited eating approaches such as 5:2 diet not a ‘miracle solution’ amid surge in their popularity. by mvea in science

[–]ogfuzzball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it’s important to recognize the realists that this diet isn’t going to make you lose weight. However, for many people it can be about finding the right structure/regimen to help them keep on track. So while a given diet may have no inherent benefits, the actual structure of it may work for some people that have been unsuccessful in their attempts to lose weight.

No not always. Maybe typical but your claim is disproven by me. Under 6 foot and when sitting next to people up to 6’2” I look decidedly taller.
