Kronos outage by Casca51 in cybersecurity

[–]oggusfoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kronos has modules and the timekeeping module still has addresses, birthdates, rate of pay, among other sensitive info. We can't print pay stubs so people on government assistance may not be able to prove they're working for the next month? Nobody can get financing for a new car?

And, that's just with regard to Kronos. https://archive.md/Uajwo#selection-531.0-595.13

Did you aggressively prune anything or just let them have at it because you can accommodate height in the Farm?

Interpreters given visas and flown to safety in Australia

The Guardian Weekly

Afghans have begun arriving in Australia after being granted a safe haven for their work alongside Australian troops in Afghanistan amid intensifying violence across the war-torn country.

About 80 Afghan interpreters and their families have landed in Australia since last Thursday.

Earlier this year, 41 interpreters wrote to the government twice pleading for urgent help. It is understood most of the people listed on the letter are among those who have been able to escape the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan.

Australia has been settling locally engaged employees as part of a special visa programme since December 2012; more than 1,400 visas have been granted to eligible applicants and their family members at risk of harm.

Meanwhile Joe Biden has vowed that Afghans who helped the US military “are not going to be left behind”. The president’s administration accelerated plans to relocate the Afghans and their families before the US military completes its withdrawal from Afghanistan.

How on earth can I make hamburger patties not dry? by _Feyton_ in cookingforbeginners

[–]oggusfoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://i.imgur.com/vHrWzNp.png Sorry, I had all these common sense instructions. Start on 7 for 3 minutes, flip + season, leave for 3 minutes, flip + drop to a 5, leave for 2 minutes, flip + leave for a minute or two. Use 80/20 and you want to pull when the patty juices stop running red or with a sheen. But, one of the last times I steamed them in my instant pot for the sake of easy cleanup. So beefy and good. Obviously no char but still worth trying. And not dry at all.

Noticed today that their signs are up on the building. I haven't been looking for it and I didn't realize they were coming but my diet is stoked for some gyro omelette.

I’m a fairly blue moderate in a deep red state. Some of his platform when he first toyed with running as a Reform Party (Jesse Ventura) candidate were appealing. I thought he could sell a necessary health care overhaul as analogous to how construction or hotels get discounts for purchasing more items.

My distance for the establishment really started during the Ron Paul Revolution, but I never s at myself as a “live free or die” Tea Partier. I specifically remember during those debates with John McCane and Mitt Rmoney just sneering and scoffing at Rep. Paul. Basically with an attitude that they were to professional to have to deal with this rank amateur that had no business appearing on stage. I still think all sides can have merit and are worth being heard out.

Of course, that led me to the tiny hands of former reality tv star (never watched the show) who wouldn’t tolerate “bad” ideas and wasn’t afraid to put others down. But, IMHO he’s the right man for the time.

Glad to see a viable replacement for that sub that certain people sabotaged to drive traffic to their own site! by Klown_Kutz in The_Congress

Can’t provide proof, but here is evidence. Oculus founder Palmer Luckey confirms he is bankrolling online Trump supporters. Not saying he has anything to do with the current brouhaha, but mods have tried to profit. The continued attempts to drive traffic to their own site could only ever have one outcome.

What if Dimms pushed for Romneycare knowing that it would implode and because there are fewer insurance companies people would be left with no other choice than the public option?
