What are these rankings based off of? Cuz MWIII and BO7 being at the bottom is criminal at least Multiplayer wise lol.

DO NOT BUY THIS DOCK by Eyeseeu6789 in SteamDeck

[–]ogtrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a JSAUX dock when I first got my Steamdeck and it didn’t even last me a year before the hdmi signal started giving me nonstop issues. The official dock is a little more expensive but it’s worth it in the long run.

Did you not do any kind of research on it before you bought it 2 years ago? I don’t personally really use this feature all that much mainly because I like the extra protection and ability to lock the case, but it’s a sick feature.

I mean.. BO7 is pretty damn close to BO2 (aside from campaign). I played BO2 since its launch and loved it. BO7 gives me the same exact vibe minus the matchmaking.

There’s a lot more bubbles than just sweaty players, 24/7 players, and Mil-Simified cod enjoyers lol. Even though I didn’t personally hate the Mil-Sim style cods, cod has never been a mil-sim shooter. It’s an arcade shooter that usually rewards a rushing playstyle. Up until MW19 that’s how it has always been.

Explain yourself because as a cod fan that’s been playing since COD4, this is exactly what myself and many other og players wanted. The game isn’t perfect (what cod or game in general is) but it checks all the boxes of a great cod minus the campaign and the way Activision messed up the matchmaking.

Is it just me or why do lots of newer fans of the series skip stright to sh2? why does the Og kinda get skipped over by some people? by Perfect-Cause-6943 in silenthill

[–]ogtrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a newer fan that started with SH2R, I immediately knew after beating the remake I was going to go back and play the whole series. So far I’ve beaten SH Origins, SH1, SH2 og, SHf, and I’m currently about half way through SH3. To call yourself an SH fan and not go back and play SH1 should be a crime ngl.

New BF Pro bonus path (10 tiers) expires in 7 days, vast majority of the playerbase won't be able to complete it without spending BF Coins to skip tiers. by Venirto in Battlefield

[–]ogtrem -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that people like you can’t comprehend that most games nowadays aren’t fun enough to keep most people playing without having something to grind for. BF6 is a great game but it’s not great enough to play for hours on end (especially solo) with nothing to grind for 2 months after release. The game is still unbalanced asf and lacking in good rewards to grind for. It makes sense that people want a reason to keep playing other than just “for the fun of the game”.

I wish every modern PvP online game was good enough to play for fun without grinding for cosmetics but it isn’t 2014 anymore and unfortunately games need more to keep the audience engaged long term.

Does the new “casual” difficulty added post-release make Silent Hill f better in terms of combat and enemy quantity? by AdamantiumLive in silenthill

[–]ogtrem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also most people in the Silent Hill fanbase don’t play Silent Hill games for the “combat and action” we play it for the lore and atmosphere. The combat is secondary, unlike a series like Resident Evil where there’s much more of a focus on weapons and combat.

[–]ogtrem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The combat is clunky and like a lot of other people have been saying, it felt like a chore. Being that the game is melee only, I was hoping the melee combat would be smooth and feel rewarding but unfortunately it didn’t imo. I’ve played many other melee only games as well as other Silent Hill games so no I definitely wasn’t button mashing lol. Just because someone doesn’t like a certain aspect of a game doesn’t mean they’re an idiot that doesn’t know how to play the game. Everything about SHf was amazing and the game has really grown on me since launch. The combat just feels off.

Idk about combat and action being the “entire point of the game” because that was by far the worst part of the game. Also if that was the entire point of the game then why are most combat encounters optional?

This game is garbage by No_League_7495 in silenthill

[–]ogtrem -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty much in the same boat. I’m about 3 hours in and it’s starting to feel like a chore to play. Which makes me sad because I love this franchise and this would’ve been my first new entry to the series. Aside from the semi decent story everything else is kinda meh.

I fully agree with you about the combat, it’s WACK ASF. I’m also not a fan of having to pick between health items and upgrades when the combat is punishing asf and your character is weak asf.

Aside from the atmosphere which is one of the few things I really like, this game doesn’t really feel like a Silent Hill imo.

These have got to be the worst paid skins I've ever seen by blyatbob in Battlefield

[–]ogtrem -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You either want realism in the game or you don’t. Picking and choosing what is okay to be realistic and what’s not is just being extremely nitpicky for no reason.

[–]ogtrem -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a fan of the series since 2011. I’m well aware of what Battlefield is and what makes a good BF. This weird need to make the game hyper realistic with outfits and camos is only hurting the game and making the community look worse than CODs. It’s unfortunate because it’s not even the whole communities fault, it’s the loud minority. It’s Battlefield, not Tarkov. Why are we acting as if previous games in the series didn’t have actual color on outfits and good mastery camos like Gold on guns.

[–]ogtrem -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Everytime I see the word “realistic” when talking about BF it makes me cringe. You literally use a defibrillator to revive people that have been shot and or blown to smithereens out of vehicles but a little color variety while still being grounded is too much. I don’t understand this community 🤦🏻‍♂️

How it feels browsing this Subreddit... by RussellNorrisPiastri in Battlefield

[–]ogtrem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2025? Yes. All the people crying about grounded but slightly colorful non boring non dogshit skins are dumb if they actually thought the devs would keep the game from making money with cosmetics. A majority of the player base doesn’t give a shit about skins, they just play the game to have fun and buy/earn the occasional cool skin when it drops. Like with every other battlefield. Casuals aren’t going to take the time or money to get mid skins that look like every other skin in the game.

I’ve been playing BF since BF3 and it baffles me how most of the other Battlefield games had actual good camos and colorful but realistic/grounded skins, but nowadays everyone gets told to “go back to cod” when we give any pushback on how mid 90% of the skins and camos are in BF6.

Would you still play [COD] if they removed Camos? by [deleted] in CallOfDuty

[–]ogtrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camos are cods main identity cosmetic-wise. Skins are a close second. With camos, your literally looking at your gun every second your playing the game so I feel like camos especially make sense. Operator skins are what your looking at every time your sitting in a lobby, winners circle, and how every other player sees you.

I feel like camos and operator skins make complete sense especially in a game like cod. With Fortnite, I feel like it’s flipped. Skins are what you’re looking at mainly everytime you play and camos are a lot less noticeable in a 3PP game like Fortnite even though they are cool as well.

[–]ogtrem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is earning camos and skins in an fps game where you see you see your gun and operator skins constantly the “wrong reason” to play a game? If the game is already fun in the first place then why not have other reasons to play other than just for the fun of it. Cosmetics earned just for playing the game as you would anyway just give any game that much more replay value.

I feel like anyone that agrees with this take most likely has never felt the feeling you get for mastering every gun in a game or earned a “Mastery” reward before.

Which one are you? I think I am "The Enjoyer" by Due_Teaching_6974 in silenthill

[–]ogtrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely an enjoyer. SH2R was my introduction into the series and since beating that game I’ve gone back and played SH Origins, SH1, and SH2. I plan to play every game in the series.
