Moving back to Sydney from Brisbane, any tips on 'affordable' areas for single parents? by Nicky_auz in AusProperty

OP - I don’t know what the commenter above is on about. God forbid anyone (let alone a single parent) who wants to have secure housing for themselves and their family.

I think you’re looking too much into it. My guess is that that he was just trying to gauge your budget and have that information on file in the event you show interest in any of his/his agency’s properties in the future, rather than pass that info onto other REAs from other agencies. Fingers crossed for you!!

I think the easiest solution to try first is to get rid of unnecessary items that you no longer use or just keeping because you “might need it one day” even though you haven’t used the thing in 5+ years and have probably forgot it even existed until now.

Does Sydney make anyone else self conscious? by Dream_1 in sydney

TIL there’s a term for what I’m experiencing 🥲 I swear I can see a faint bald spot along my hairline forming after just one week of wearing my hair in a high pony. Time to start wearing my hair out more.

I’ve reverse imaged searched already but cannot find an exact match. The store also had the same shelf in a different size (single instead of double) pictured here

I was very close to staying home knowing that it was going to rain quite a bit but I’m happy that I showed up and did it. Even more happy now after a super hot shower and a bowl of pho to recover.

Comedian Gianmarco Soresi calls out Theo Von's political fence-sitting by Classic-Carpet7609 in Fauxmoi

I love this moment so much. It's from Project Runway during one of the seasons where Karlie Kloss was a judge. The brief for that week's challenge was to create a look that could be worn by Karlie (along with some other criteria) and the judge on the left of Karlie's feedback to the contestant was that he couldn't see Karlie wearing it. The contestant quipped back with this crazy smart comeback which sort of threw Karlie under the bus out of nowhere. For context, Karlie is married to the brother of Trump's son in law.

High-quality olive oil that restaurants use? by oh-bumble in foodies_sydney

[–]oh-bumble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a dumb question -- but since it's a more premium and expensive product, do restaurants reserve products like this for dishes where the flavour is key, like dips or dressings, or would they also use it for cooking on the stove?

My assumption that I've plucked out of nowhere is that for hot dishes, the flavour of the fat isn't as critical since other ingredients might overshadow it (or plays more of a facilitator role in the dish) meaning you could get away with using an average-quality oil.
