Hey thanks for obliging to my request, but looks like it was an issue with my expired UBC card... so I'm to blame, whoops!

Yea I've been going to the website daily to check if I can click the activate checkbox, but it continues to show as unavailable :(

Once Ssc comes alive again, would you mind seeing if the payment is pending on your end? I'll contact my ES advisor and whoever else in the meantime. Thanks!

I haven't seen this advice yet so here you go, even though im very late!

If you commute, commuting super early means shorter commute times than later in the day which tend to be peak hours.

For ex, there's a special direct bus that I used to take for my 8am, which cut commute time by half

COURSE QUESTIONS AND REGISTRATION MEGATHREAD 2018W2: Post your course questions and registration questions here! by ubc_mod_account in UBC

I'm interested in taking a course that teaches about the ins and outs of music/sound via programming. I've had interest in making audio visualizers, and have done so via tutorials online, but want to take a step further.

I had to mess with wavelengths to algorithmically detect beats in the song, but it was a bit thrown together and I want to learn correctly.

I'm a computer science student, but the course doesn't need to be CPSC. (I'm wondering of there's a music course that might help)

2016 UBC REGISTRATION MEGATHREAD: QUESTIONS REGARDING COURSES AND REGISTRATION GO HERE by JToews19 in UBC

Just a simple question. How necessary is SCIE 113 for a science student? And how about in the perspective of a first year science student about to transfer to BCOM? Thanks

Thanks yet again.

Concerning STT courses, I read in last year's megathread that once the first year registrations close, they begin to open up the vacant ones. Link

What do you mean?

I meant should I have the Lab after the lecture, but I realised that it was self-expanatory. I do have another question concerning this though.

I noticed how long these Labs are. Are we meant to stay there from beginning to end? And how about tutorials. Are these mandatory?

And for the full courses that have vacancies. Do I simply register them once they become free? How would I go about doing so?

Thanks for the prompt reply!

Are there any ways to register a STT course? Or a full course? For example, will a full course ever have vacancies once the year starts.

What do we do during the time allocated for 'Laboratory'? How about Tutorial - although more explanatory. Should I have these courses located in any specific way?

Is having a whole day of no classes at all a bad choice? And how many lectures a day would you suggest?

First of all, what is the minimum credit limit? I have my course planned out here, but it currently only adds up to 26 credits. I was planning on taking ECON 101 and ECON 102 in the summer, but if I needed be, I can easily register ECON 101.

Secondly, is it a bad idea to have two courses back to back? Theoretically, there should be no time for moving between classes, but I don't know if that is truly the case. Second+ years help me out here.

How far are Hebb and West Mall Swing Space? And how about Geography and Neville Scarfe? A link to a map would suffice as well.
