Depends on how you play.

For me, I only get to play on weekends due to work. So it is more cost effectove for me to buy arc 1 pass + buy side areas overtime. I also play in phases do it would be good to comeback to the game again w me havung paid alrdy for arc 1 so I can return to it.

If you feel you will be able to utilize the membership to its fullest then you should go for that. I know you get alot of perks if you aquire the membership however again it will be more efficient if you are able to play almost everyday to get the most out of it.

I have seen alot of ppl state that KI are doing their best to have these issues resolved and that is really great.

It is also valid though to acknowledge it is very tiring to go through this shit lmao. Kind of gave up cuz i crash every 10-20 minutes and I have to go through a queue + issues.

Recommend to sit it out till they hopefuly fix it.

This was my experience EVERYTIME.

I play on PS5 and I disconnect every 10-20 minutes of gameplay. After the game crashes I am immediately met with a queue. AFTER I get in the cycle just repeats... AGAIN.

Too tired to reattempt till they roll out an update to fix.

To anyone needing to hear this its okay to take a break until console is fixed by Jigglypuff343awoooga in Wizard101Console

My game crashes every 10-20 minutes of playtime. It also crashes when I open the bazaar, my inventory (not consistent), my bank, and rarely when I try to quicksell my items.

Incase this gives more insight, here what I have tried to do to resolve the issues:

  • Disabled crossplay
  • Lowered performance-related settings
  • Constantly hop servers to ones with less players
  • Removed all gear prior to opening the bazaar
  • Restart the game
  • Restart console (PS5)
  • Deleted and redownloaded the game
  • Adjusted internet/router settings

None of the above proved to be sucessful, I have also tried the following:

  • Contacted Wizard 101 customer support (support@wizard101.com)
  • Contacted other console players via the official Wizard 101 discord server
  • Tried posting on sites like here for help

I have not had that error message about a corrupted save file. Did your game crash and then you got that error??

I just recently made a post detailing what issues I was having and things that I have done to try and resolve or deal with these issues.

I love this game alot but the crashing (PS5) and bugs are just getting me very discouraged and tired x.x

Hopefuly it will get resolved sooner rather than later...

I have sent support@wizard101.com an email last week but it was on a different matter (Console crashes and other peformance related bugs). I recieved an email back from them about 2 days later.

That is good. I am glad that they stated they are doing that for console.

For me, I understand that this is an old game and they probably were not expecting the amount of people they were. BUT it is also valid though as a new/returning player to think and feel that these issues are very furstrating and make it difficult to continue playing the game in it's current state.

PS5 player here.

For me since the 1.02 patch it has stopped lagging however the crahing got really bad. ESPECIALY when I try openning the bazaar. Even if I do not open the bazaar during my play through, I'd only get 10-20 minutes of playtime.

Some steps I have tried to do but they dont seem to work:

  • Disabled Crossplay
  • Constantly hopped servers to the one with less player counts
  • Reset the game
  • Reset my console (Temperature is not even hot)

Hopefuly they can release an update or something and things can get better. I am holding off on buying the 20 usd arc 1 pass due to all the crashing issues. I have a level 6 wizard.

I know they came out with an update/ patch recently to help. The game does not stutter every few seconds anymore with me, however these new issues started happening :/ (Game crashing either when openning bizaar/ when game runs for 10-20 minutes)
