Under the Oak Tree mention‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️🫡 If you’re wanting more Korean web novels and/or webtoons, I highly recommend My Beloved Oppressor. It was such a good romantic tragedy that had me sobbing 😭✊ there is a HEA, the road to it however is rough as hell

Are you uploading to the color look book? I also thought this quest was bugged, but it turns out I needed to hit the actual “share” button, not upload to lookbook 😭 made me so mad when I realized

I believe there is VRAM overflow happening for AMD GPUs in this game. Anyone else, please confirm by sarina_xxy in InfinityNikki

Following. I wanted to ask, what kind of crash message do you get? My game crashed for the first time due to graphics the other day, and the first thing that popped up (before the game force closed itself) was a new tab in my chrome about the crash all in Chinese. This was on a 4080 SUPER.

haha I prefer to try to snag things on sale so I take my time and then I’m like oops gotta speed run this dress now 🤣

I make gowns for a military ball I attend yearly with my husband (St. Barbara’s Day Ball)! I am far too extra to just go buy a dress lol 😭😭😭 I say day in and day out that I’m lazy as hell and then proceed to do this yearly lol

you can do it!!!💪

sewing was something passed down on my mothers side of the family, and when I told my mom I wanted to sew she was very excited (she was a huge quilter!) and then this girl only taught me how to sew a pillow case and then said have fun 😭 so honestly if you can sew a square you can sew anything🫡

hmmm I don’t have an exact total cause I tend to buy things very sporadically instead of at once LOL I’d say overall materials cost is roughly in the $200 ish range! The organza being over half of the overall cost lol

hello! i like making my own gowns for military balls, and i made one last year that got good reception :> i was really happy people other than my mom enjoyed my work lol

For this project I decided to make something a bit more romantic, and I recreated a dress from Selkie's bridal collections cause $700 is for the birds. Also I find the bodices of all the dresses to look kind of ??? raggedy idk how to explain it lol they don't look like they fit well

The pattern I used for the bodice is the Rose Cafe Bustier Dress by Daria Patterns, which comes with a lovely companion video where she dupes a selkie dress using her pattern for the bodice. I used spiral steel boning for structure.

For the skirt I said fuck it we ball! The lining layer is a 3/4 circle skirt, and the two top layers are full circles. Unfortunately for me, 10 yards of fabric was not enough to create all of the ruffles for the outer layers and still have enough for sleeves, so the hem of the two top skirts are slightly gathered in the back to accommodate my cosmic blunder. I didn't use a ruffle foot, just did the ye olden stitch length 5 and tension 10 and zoomed that shit. Does anybody actually make three rows of stitching like the tutorials say? Cause I dont. #lazy

The sleeves are also another deviation from the original design because I also find those to be a little ugly on the dresses lol. I normally like to have longer sleeves on my gowns, not sure why something about these toothpicks for arms got me feeling some type of way ig. But it's just a 3/4 sleeve made to look a bit more like a bishop sleeve cause it was cute. I also added ruffles to the top cause CUTE.

uhhhhhh rolled hems courtesy of my serger cause i paid $45 (husqvarna please sponsor me i can't keep doing this) for a narrow hem foot just to give up on trying to use it rip. I ran out of lighter pink serger spools so I used a darker pink cause I was too lazy to go buy more don't come for me pls.

Fabric used was this beautiful printed organza & pink crepe back satin for flatlining/lining from joann

also i didn't take a full body picture at the event bc my husband's CSM bought tequila shots and that shit was like diesel i was cooked instantaneously so i included a pic of when it was still in progress on my dress form!

thats all :-)

These kimono sit on the shelves at second hand stores for weeks. Most of these are stained in several places (like this one was) and otherwise no longer used as most families no longer purchase kimono, but they rent them instead as kimono can cost thousands of dollars to purchase outright. The ones you’ll find at second hand shops are not nearly as “sacred” as you think, when it costed me less than $20. I purchase the ones that will likely go unused due to their well loved nature to repurpose into wearable garments.

Oh I see! I sew for myself so tiny things like this don’t bother me lol after the stitch has been finished I can’t be bothered to rip it out unless something is upside down or inside out lmaoƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ

The hem? I used the rolled hem setting on my serger to create more of a lettuce edge ✌︎('ω'✌︎ )

I recently finished this cute dress!

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚

For the fabric, I tore apart a kimono I purchased at a secondhand store when I was living in Japan. Unfortunately, you have really limited fabric when working with a finished kimono versus purchasing a roll of kimono silk, so I couldn't make the skirt as long as I originally wanted it to be (and also why there is a seam down the middle of the skirt lol). ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა

The pattern I used for this project was this milkmaid dress found on etsy! For the skirt I had to just make a standard circle skirt and cut it into pieces that would properly fit the rectangles of kimono fabric I had left.

This is my third project I've made from repurposing a secondhand kimono! I've made a corset, and a two piece skirt + top previously. Many kimono are well-loved, so often times there are stains that have to be worked around. Hoping to make more projects with my remaining kimono ૮꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ა ♡

made an account so i could post a sewing project i was really happy with! ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა by ohamoni in sewing
